I carry a roll of electrical tape with my kits at all times, just wrap the handles of the muti-tool with a few wraps of tape instead of all the hassle of the bank line, same with securing the .multi-tool to the wood.

I have seen these before and they do work! Although I feel like yellow or orange paracord would do better something a little brighter would be a more year round survival lure

the mic ports u could try hot glue a piece of a straw above them similar to how a traffic light is and that could prevent the audio from muffling-theoretically anyways

Easy way to secure chord to the hook would be to run the hook in and melt the end by the eye. I actually keep a few chord lures in my kabar caster. I made a 2” worm in bright orange and a few different jigs, you can make some pretty good lures with scraps.

good video. one thing I would add to your little kit ( I have 5 in mine) is short 1/4-20 eye hooks and a decently longer as well as a stainless "L" hook to use to hold the spool of line. you can either put several along the branch you use as a pole and run the line through them and use the L hook, and actually cast, and real in. or use just one near the tip, to secure the line for either straight drop in, or snapping for fly type fishing.

Time to stock up the pond. Bluegill and sunfish are cheaper and easier to take care of. You could even get them from another lake and plant them yourself.

So. You cut a tree to make a stick that you sharpen, and after you cut the tip... then you knocking down in the ground. WHY? unnecessary activities. You doing this like survival causes you will die in hunger. Just get a stic, get the hook, put the hook tip inside the stick in the middle, then stand each end of the stick and woala, it is fixed. Or hold a 4 string piece with the hook in your finger then tie it with another. No offense just my opinion.
