You just earned yourself a new subscriber! (I also left a like.) This was the only tutorial video that I found where the core ball was a golf ball instead of a steel ball.

It looks like once you're at the end of the 2nd wrap on the Primary Color (Black) - there's only SEVEN strands on the side it comes out on from the bottom. You can see this clearly at 4:58. - The top has 8 strand because of the "loop back" that gets the 2nd wrap going - The bottom and opposite side have 8 strands But that "final" side the 2nd strand comes out on only has 7. When you pull the "LOOP" out of the black is that suppose to make it even again? Just noticed this and wanted to make sense of it. Thanks!! - Bill Covington

Although a jig does help if you have hands as small as I do -- trying to hold onto a root knot and wrap enough cord around my fingers and get it big enough to wrap neatly is ALMOST impossible (and actually, so far, has been impossible!)

Sandi Jull Sandi, you are right, small hands make it very hard and near impossible to create a larger monkeys fist. and most people prefer to use a jig. I still use a jig even though I don't have to, with a jig I can set the project down and do other things and come back to it. The convenience factor is great. Thanks for taking time to view and comment! -Kevin

Something does not work : when you reach the 8th round of the second cord - brown one, and pass it under the 8 rounds of the black one so as to make both colors meet, well they do not. I have tried for hours, following your demo point by point, and found myself in this dead end each time, with a different number of rounds in the bown one, or any other mess. Do you really have eight rounds on both colors, except of course the nine ones in the black when you are finished ?

You don't need some contraption to tie these unless you don't have fingers on one hand. It's as easy as tying your shoe.

If this is and "easy how to" why do you have over an hr of video split into 4 parts? Doesn't seem to easy to me.

Jody Rost Hi Jody Rost, This video was created because of the many request from my subscribers who have tried to follow other videos to make a moneys fist and were not able to follow them. This video was created for those subscribers, which they found Very helpful and Easy to follow. If you found it helpful Great! If you didn't find it Easy, there are other videos out there that only takes a few minutes to watch that may be better suited for your viewing type. Thanks for contacting me and taking time to view and comment -Kevin

I wish you'd show the whole thing closer and when you're done with the first set of wraps show where the first part of the string is wrapped around the stick. Every video out there skips that step everytime and it's the most critical part of the process and I can't figure it out.
