@@TheBandMan in the beginning, there’s notes that last for approximately 5 metric ass years so it’s insanely hard to hold it without breathing, so tubas needs to coordinate when to breath and make sure to discreetly fade in and out the note so it sounds like one continuous note. A lot of fun tho... the entire piece is so damn fun for the brass section. And with Tubas used to “ompa dompa ompa dompa” it’s especially refreshing.
Great Song!!! My Dad played percussion on this song back in the early 90s as a member of Navy Band San Francisco during a joint concert with the Air Force Band. It sounds great - thanks for uploading it.

This was one of the first band recordings I posted about 7 years ago. I had to search all over the web to find a recording for my students to practice with. That is where I got my idea to post them on youtube since it’s so easy to find there.
