Oh my goodness! That view! If it looks like that on camera, I can only imagine what it looks like in person! I love to hike, but how steep that hill was, my bum foot would have been really mad at me. Goodness! So glad you made it! Better to stop than push it. You sure did earn your fruit juice! Looks like an amazing, but long day. Such a bummer that the safari wasn't everything they promised. I would have been irritated too! Was not surprised that you said you went to bed early. That was a FULL day!

When I was there, one one cruise I did a small boat ride with a biologist, Dr. Michael Poole, to see the Spinner dolphins. He took our cruise ship 3 tries to get through the reef so we almost didn't get to go in that day. On my next cruise, I did the island highlight drive in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon. We snorkeled in shallow coral gardens with a bunch of fish and black tipped sharks.

Walking keeps my back healthy and pain free too. If my back starts hurting it's always because I have been slacking on my daily exercise for a few days too many. Half of our nation's medical problems would vanish in a matter of a few short months if everyone just walked a couple of kilometers a day.

Moorea IS beautiful! My husband and I did a Polynesian cruise on Princess in 2005. I loved Moorea but then we went to Bora Bora!!! The lagoon was spectacular! We went on an excursion that took us out into the beautiful, aguamarine colored lagoon and swam with the stingrays as the tour operator fed fish to the rays! We were even encouraged to PET the rays!!! Of course, one must stand perfectly still while we "swam" with the rays. And they would rub up against us like cats!!! It was an AMAZING experience!!! We also did a bus tour that circumnavigated the island and stopped at "Bloody Mary's", (South Pacific" was filmed on Bora Bora) and fed hibiscus flowers to land crabs on a beach! I would LOVE to go back!!!

In Moorea we took an island tour through Viator in the morning which was excellent..places were open. Back at the port there was a cheap shuttle to a beach and the water was so wonderful and my husband was able to snorkel.

We went to Tahiti including Moorea 40 years ago for our honeymoon and did a safari tour. Then we just went back for our 40th anniversary last October and did the safari again and re did a photo we did in the exact same place.

I visited French Polynesian years ago, Morea, Bora Bora, Tahiti, Huahini. Oh what beauty. It's like what Hawaii used to be 50 years back. Really beautiful and yes, the snorkeling is just amazing, those reefs are just amazing, the currents are a little strong but what you see, the colors, the water, the fish 🐠 🐠 🐟 oh what beauty. So many beautiful memories that you two have bought back to me! Thank you❤

Guys, I am so impressed that you walked Majic Mountain. We took the 4x4 and also doubted that it would make it up that steep climb. So sorry you missed the vanilla plantation. That was my favorite part of the day. I would go back to Moorea in a heartbeat! When we were there a Paul Gauguin ship was moored in Cooks Bay. Now, that's the way to do Moorea.

Great video as always! I know a man that has the same back problem. He has a PHD in some kind of Science. I met him in the gym. He does lots of yoga-he is the best yogi I have ever seen-does splits sideways. He runs, bikes, hikes. He does the best pike on a hanging bar I have ever seen also. He amazes me. He is in his 50s.

Hi Nancy and Mike, visited Polynesia the first time 30 years ago before all those over the water bungalow on the motus. The second time 11 years ago on a 7 night cruise on the Paul Gaughan. It was better arriving in Moorea by ship as we had the same anchoring point as your ship did. We did find some modern changes to some of the places we had seen so many years before. Magical place to be and yes the distillary had many tastings of local fruits spirits. Enjoy the rest of your journey and keep the videis coming.

Once this cruise is over what will you do? Do you have a plan? I too need to move. In the 70’s I had three vertebrae fused and it helps when I walk and move more. Keep up the walking and moving.

Our current plan is first to make sure everything continues to run smoothly with our business back in Michigan, but then when we retire fully, we hope to get an RV and travel around the United States to national parks.
