I gift wrapped myself nearly a decade ago trying to Heli on a smaller wing than I should have, while towing with a boat on the Thailand coast with 300 Peaks. The footage on the old GoPro 2 turned out quite ok. One of the more interesting incidents of my paragliding career. 10 February 2014 on the Gradient Aspen 3 size 24.

Hey Nick that was pretty intense. you seem to hang on to your reserve handle (2.48) rather than let it go is there a reason you did that?

Most probably I was just doing it wrong. But I think it came out pretty soon after I went for it

The Aspen 3 was such a great wing for freestyle ACRO.

Would be good if you would tell , what was wrong and what you should and should not have done. I assume it was stuffed up exit from a full-stall.

Yeah I think I needed to be more decisive in stalling it again when it felt like it wasn't quite right

@@sharemyjoys And probably beeing a little stronger on the brakes when the wing surges. But its so easy to tell when you are watching it at half speed on youtube instead of when it actually happens.
