You will take off from Ghosta, near Harissa, from an altitude of 750m above sea level. The average flight time is 15 minutes, during which you will glide next to the marvelous Virgin Mary statue and enjoy breathtaking scenery over the Jounieh Bay and the Mediterranean sea. The landing spot happens to be in the middle of the bay on the coast.
Flights sessions are available everyday from 14:00 till 18:00 and the whole experience takes around 1 hour, including transfer from the landing spot (meeting point), briefing and flight. All pilots are certified, insured and highly experienced.

HIGHLIGHTS
Flight time is 10 to 20 minutes depending on weather condition.
Briefing, gearing up, and flight will result in time amount approximately 1 hour.
Paragliding is subject to wind conditions so the client must be advised that sometimes postponement of the flight can occur at the last minute.
Reservation is required 48-hours in advance. Timing of flight to be confirmed by the pilots.
Maximum weight is 95 KG.
Clients can bring mobiles or cams with them

ABOUT club thermique
First paragliding club in Lebanon, since 1990. More than 30 years of experience. Experienced, licensed and insured pilots.
We are certified in “Safety in Adventures” by the Lebanese Ministry of Youth and Sports .
We have appeared on several media platforms many times over the years. We were broadcasted on most of local and regional TV stations: BBC, National Geographics, Ushuaïa TV, CNN, M6, F2, MBC, MTV, LBC, and many more.
Tens of newspaper articles, online blogs/vlogs, social network influencers, etc. wrote about the history and professionalism of our club (check the “GALLERY” section for Photos and Videos).
We found and launched the paragliding site of Ghosta (3 minutes ride from Harissa) in mid 1990s. This site allowed us to paraglide next to the marvelous Virgin Mary statue, located in one of the most beautiful villages in Lebanon: Daroun-Harissa.
And to make the flight even more exciting, we found a landing site right in the center of Jounieh Bay, which is considered one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Consequently, passengers can enjoy a mesmerizing flight over beautiful green mountains, authentic villages, modern cities, and the Mediterranean Sea.

Paragliding is a sport in which a wide canopy, resembling a parachute, is attached to a person’s body by a harness, in order to allow them to glide. Unlike a parachute, which descends vertically, the canopy has the ability to move forward, thus enabling the pilot to maneuver more, take thermals (columns of warm air rising up) and stay airborne.
