Yeah. I left the hill without attaching my speedbar. I attached it later in the video. When you say, hanging on the c-risers, what do you mean exactly?
Yes I noticed the speed bar situation right away thinking won't he need that possibly? Also, was this video reversed or what are the rules of the road there ridge soaring? Or does the fact there's a thermal coming up the ridge negate ridge soaring rules? I don't think the thermal ended I think it just blew back more judging by your track, could be wrong on that. With that altitude I probably would have explored back further as no risks of venturi that high. Also, going out may have revealed another, well obviously that was the case. Good for you though that you learned so much in one flight, total bonus!!
@@jacquecilliers Nope thats the beauty of headcam, I know we can pick up more in our peripheral vision but there was a number of turns where you are trying to stay in the best lift, but no check over your shoulder first. We have busy hills in the UK. Your purple friend had to maneuvre slightly at least once because you just suddenly turned.
I would never paraglide in that location with so many gliders concentrated in that same area Almost sure to be a collision and that low you're just going to plummet mate it's very dangerous but apparently people just don't have a clue
I hate everything where are too many people coming together. And one question. Would there be space for an hangglider pilot. A big crowd pushing away everything. That should be the lesson.
I don't really like it when there are too many people either. The thing that stuck me was that we were mixing soaring and thermalling in the same area. This becomes dangerous because people cross paths often. I don't know much about hang gliding. I expect you would fly further away from the hill so that you can turn more easily. I think!!
