I was seriously considering a budgie as a pet until I heard ALL these noises lol. They’re still ABSOLUTELY adorable but I have two babies, 5 turtles, 19 fish, and two chickens. My noise limit has reached max capacity 💀

My budgie lost his cage mate a few months ago, they’d never been separated so I’d never heard the “call” chirp before but that’s all he did for the week after his buddy passed and it was heartbreaking hearing him call for him. He’s doing much better now, just as loud only this time with happy chirps and squawks. Amazing how one budgie alone can still sound like a pet store

Every time my parakeet loses his mate (my one Parakeet born in 2017 is a widower times 3 now) I have to immediately get a replacement because I can’t stand the calling he does - the frantic calling for his friend 😩😫 I’m like hang on little buddy I’ll get you a new friend or baby bird to focus on😭😭 🏃‍♀️ 💨

@ElChivo 105 uhh... It depends by the parrot. If he likes your mouth he wants to repeat what you say. In that case, talk to him and say what you want that he repeats. In some weeks he will start to talk

My blue budgie just sits and squawks for no reason. He has everything he needs, has my grey budgie as a companion and is usually fluffed up. He does this EVERY morning at the same time. Drives me nuts.

Oh my God. I cant express how relieved I feel now. Im hell scared of birds coz they bit me once when I was a child.last year I brought home my grandma's budgies coz she couldn't take good care of them due age related health issues. Now these two lovelies make different noise all day. I was thinking may be I am not taking good care of them but I just realised some of the noises are happy noises ❤️

Our budgie used to do a burbly little grumble sound which appeared to be “annoyed but not yet scared or angry” He would do it when I would gently tease him :3 And if it got too much he would give one big squawk and fly away, and I would leave him alone. I can take a hint!

My budgie actually does the "really terrified" noise when he's annoyed, and I've never heard him do the regular annoyed squawk except when he falls off a perch. He's definitely angry because its territorial related stuff (like when we try to move him from the mirror). Hes a funny bird!
