I've been using XD for a pretty long time now without knowing i can do animations through prototype :D Thank you very much for doing this video - This is great! What am I talking - You are THE hero of the day for me! ... I am sitting here alone, 7.30 am, yelling out "shiiiiit" and "whaaaat" numerous times xD

Great video. A lot of cool tricks. Ultimately though XD really needs to add an "on appear" or "on scroll" trigger so we can make components with component states that are triggered when they show up.

As an old-school web designer / coder, it hurts to say it, but XD is still barely better for prototyping than InDesign. I'm confused about it being a industry standard, since I'm planning to return to the market after a hiatus doing print and social media graphic design... Figma is definitely more professional - XD borders being a hobbyist tool, sorry - but Figma in my opinion breakes the workflow being browser based. Now, why would I even need a tool like that separate from let's say Illustrator, if I'm designing with CSS3 / JQuery effects in mind? And/or Wordpress with free effect libraries?

@@magnuskallas Oh man, it would take me 6 hours to do in InDesign what I can do in 2 hours in XD. Even with it's flaws it's 5x faster than InDesign and it provides a lot of info to the coder if needed. It's RGB color engine is way better as well.

@@chuckpenzone3407 Sorry to hear, but in my opinion the box and style model in InDesign is way more advanced. In fact, I've quite succesfully used Illustrator too, since then I can do icons/elements in the same workspace. Linking aside, Artboards are pretty much the same in all these programs. My main issue is graphic prototyping in general... CSS3 is a visual language so much more complicated than any of those programs. I wonder it there is any practical use styling some boxes and doing it all again afterwards? Or worse, 3 times if a separate design is done before.

Hey, clean tutorial gg ! Is that possible to make the same but the animation "start" with the scroll of the mouse ? Like on the apple website -> at each notch of the scroll, it make tiny % of the animation ? Tysm

Can you do these state changes between the boards but only apply it to the fix nav bar? I just want the nav bar to change color when i scroll a certain point

you cant, its just there to show a dev how it will work. Especially when your dev doesnt know animate.css or parallax. Adobe XD is so 1990 for me.

I understand that this is a tutorial video, but isn't there too much of animations? How its looks like when project like this had to be written by programmers? How about the smoothness of this animations on different devices, older smartphones for example? Thanks for tut!
