Mister believer was so well compressed it even was on top of this video so I couldn’t hear the explanation at all..

Output gain on the “dry” comp (in place for time alignment) would need to be up, no? Otherwise it would be chopping volume? Better to have it at unity?

you are definitely right if you are routing the vocals to the Bus as a subGroup like Lee did in this video.

I was on the fence about it being on the subgroups until you pointed out the BGVs are lower (below the threshold). That's clever. That's also why you're at 8:1 at the top?

Was the vocal channel copied into another one? I have a show coming up Sunday using the CL5.

Check the transcript, I think he runs "normal" and "parrelel" each ro subgroups. Multi'ng a channel would also work.
