@@sheetmetalwork yes please make more! This knowledge is so important to us new gen Tin Bashers! Nowadays everything is just made using a plasma machine, but actually knowing how to lay it out by hand is something the we young HVAC guys should really learn. Old school method is the best method
Very good. Plus the extra tips while you were drawing it, “like watch where your pencil is going, not where it is.” Thanks for adding to this treasure of helpful Sheetmetal layout.
Had to fit 150 x 150mm box section at 45 degree onto 300mm pipe and just guessed then ground to fit, is there a way to develop the box for a better fit?. Thanks for your videos👍
Thanks Duane. Could you advise where I could buy a mini drafting table, tee square, dividers, tri ruler etc. Such as recommended brand names and such. Cheers from Parry Sound, ON.
The cheapest way would be to cut a piece of plywood, preferably finished on one side approximately 20 x 28. All of the drafting equipment you mentioned can be purchased at Staples. As far as recommended names, there’s not a whole lot to chose from, Staedtler and Pico. I hope you do find what your looking for. Cheers from Moncton NB.
Really enjoy your videos.been doing sheet metal for over thirty years now.when I started I had a text book for sheet metal layout from the early fortes.it has about anything you can think of and goes in detail like you teach.with the introduction of plasma tables the art of hand layout is a dying art and that’s really sad.
