Wow. The passion and understanding behind the magical and edifying nature of Paramahansa Yogananda discussing how to implement specific practices on the path to union with GOD by implementing Christ consciousness. And his divine voice behind it. This is what the phrase "OMG" was designed for. Om Kriya Babaji Namaha Aum. Om Namah Shivaya.
Please explain Christ consciousness; for what I heard, it existed before Jesus' birth and Jesus embodied that consciousness or it was innate in him. People think that Christ is Jesus and that he created that consciousness; I just want to know if it existed before him. I love all the ascended masters.
@@chelastrayer7433 it is the one consciousness that runs through all of us on the highest and lower levels. It’s based on the belief we are all one and that light (or consciousness) is in everything and everyone. :) hope that helps. In this case it’s not specific to Jesus
@@chelastrayer7433 ofcourse this Christconsiousness existed before Jesus' form appeared out if it. The Silent Awareness is the Source of all forms that appear out of that Emptiness. It is in all of us, waiting to be liberated. And Who knows this? That which is Witness of all appearences. You are that Witness, you see all things appearing. You see all forms, even your own, appear out of this Source. All exists only in yourself.
I revere Yogananda. Until today I was not aware of his approbation and embrace of Christ Consciousness, but I must admit that I am disappointed with his (1:24) endorsement of the trinitarian version of Christ as "...the only begotten son, the only reflection of God the father beyond creation.". Excuse me? What happened to his Avaita Tantrism? Christianity ceremoniously and violently denounced Advaita (non-dualism), which was, it is widely known by philosophers and theologians, the essence of Christ Consciousness, when they excommunicated, excoriated, and brutalized Arius and his many followers for thinking the way Jesus did (Council of Nicaea, 325 CE). Christianity just hasn’t been the same since Trinitarianism was invented out of thin air and is much more of a denial of Jesus rather than an affirmation.
Have you not heard that Hinduism has the trimurti of Shiva, Vishnu & Brahma? Trinitarianism was never "invented out of thin air." The triple Godhead is the teaching of the Perennial Philosophy and is found in ancient religions - even in the mystical teaching of Judaism - Kabbalah, namely, as Kether, Chokmah and Binah of the Etz Chayim (Tree of Life), the representation of Adam Kadmon, or Heavenly Man. The Christians were wrong in their anthropomorphic identification of the second member of the Godhead as the man Jesus Christ. Yogananda never repeated this error because he was referring to Christ in the mystical sense, not in the historical sense that most Christians wrongly understand.
@@stephenphillips4984 those are lovely Hindu and Kabbalah references, and the Council of Nicea would have been good to incorporate their sophistication, but the contrived Christian version was not deeply inspired as much as it was a knee-jerk opposition to non-dualism. Non-dualism teaches the divinity of humans and all creation. We do not need salvation as we are already intimate with our creator. Dualistic Christianity, starting with Nicea in 325, created the paradigm of salvation and judgment that persists to this day. Jesus was never about judgement. Nice post Stephen!
He makes no money. He is in the afterlife, close to the Source, singing praises, love and joy to the universe. You are Indian and don't know who he is?
@@rvnmedic1968 there is no afterlife in Hinduism. You dont "be" with the source you "merge" with the source. I wrote this comment because of the "Amen Mantra". Thats incorrect.
