Same! I saw Zane for the first time when he interviewed them for After Laughter, and it was the most insightful interview for that album. I loved it! And I made sure to watch all his interviews with Hayley with both her solo projects. I was definitely just as excited to watch this interview as I am for the album. And will probably watch this again after I listen to it. 😂 But I’m a lyric person and like to know the ‘why’ behind a song.
The fact that Taylor, Hayley, and Zack all lift each other up and respect each other it's just a testament to how great this band is. I've been listening to them since their very first album and I've Loved how they evolved as artists and as people
after listening to "Liar" my heart feels so full thinking about Taylor and Hayley being in such a healthy, loving relationship that came from so many years of friendship and really knowing each other inside out. they've both been through a hell of a lot and deserve to be happy with one another finally. it's like everything's come full circle for them.

I almost teared up a little when Hayley talks about her relationship with Taylor. I'm so happy for her that she feels so comfortable talking about this and I truly felt what she said about the peace in relationships and that that is terrifying sometimes. The love I have for this band, uff.
man taylor's making my heart hurt with how much i relate to him. it's impossible for me to take a compliment, i feel the anxiety and self-doubt pour into everything i do the point where i reject any bit of praise i get. i understand how reading this would make him feel, but i want to taylor to know how incredible of a man he is both creatively and personally. everything paramore has achieved since starting after laughter has been because he saved the band.
omg, it's like we all knew he was a sensitive soul but i had no idea just how deep that ran. he seems to be SO hard on himself. he has no idea how adored and respected he is. i really wish he knew how special he is. but i relate hard to that whole mindframe at the same time too.

Loved this part so much and wanted to give him a big hug. And we, fans, really do appreciate and love work he does. If you read it, Taylor, you're genius & we love you. I was just listening to this interview with my phone in my pocket while doing the dishes but when 30:13 happened I HAD TO WATCH and leave the dishes where they are. It always draws me in when someone opens up and talks about their current level of discomfort. so good, so human, so relatable, so comforting. the 3 min conversation that followed is my favorite part of this interview.

taylor letting himself be vulnerable about his anxiety is so incredibly powerful!! we see all these videos and interviews and i think at some point it becomes easy to forget that they worry about the same things we all do. it was so nice to see this side of both zane and taylor that's real and sincere. as someone who also struggles with similar mental health issues, being able to connect with them in that way felt very freeing. particularly taylor, i mean, knowing that someone i admire as much as i admire him struggles with the same things i do eases a lot of things, it's healing. thank you paramore and zane for this interview :')
Watching Taylor diminish his brilliance and Hayley and Zac build him up was so beautiful, and then in turn they did it with each other. Paramore intricately makes decisions about their music but also is so humble about how unique it is to compose and create music, I am so in awe of CCC, TIW, AND The news, they’re immensely talented individuals and as a unit. Hayley’s lyricism is unmatched, she’s attuned to the world and it shows in her words. Hearing Hayley speak about being a healthy relationship was pivotal to me, knowing all that she’s shared about her experiences in the past, this brought tears to my eyes and a big old smile to my face, I love to see her so happy. Hayley’s been a formative figure in many of our lives, especially through paramore, so her and Taylor deserve all the happiness in the world. Zac being back always makes me so happy, his rhythm and boogie juice are absolutely a requirement of this group, and the three of them are so connected to each other through their music and the choices they makes are so MONUMENTAL and change the scene every time!
By far the best interview i seen from Paramore (and i have been following this band since 2007, when i was barely 8 years old). NEVER seen any artist talk about anxiety and all the tough ways to deal with your own personality, accepting compliments, adhd... Taylor really made me smile through the whole interview (and also cry a bit).
Yes incredible interview but I'm starting to not believe in anxiety anymore and 31 now, haven't had a single friend in 10 years, maybe 2 hangouts with people since, never a single relationship or kiss and yet I go out in public 5 days a week with no issue and around many people, I would fit right in on the couch next to Hayley lol. Anxiety is all a mindset and can be avoided. Paramore, Deftones, movies, shows and games get me through loneliness and I also don't believe a car, marriage, a house, and other things are a necessity and I do just fine walking or riding my bike Mon-Fri. Also if I was to have one friend it would have to be a girl because I never had a single good guy friend in my life and my younger bro and nephew are the best real friends I've ever had. Also have followed Paramore since 07 when I heard Pressure for the first time on a Sims game. U have one of the best names for a woman and I feel a happy sense of emotion from your comment and pic alone. Thank u Carolina

I just love how Zane is such a listener and let’s them speak everything on their mind and doesn’t interrupt. I also loved how H and Zane helped Taylor feel heard and made it a safe space for him to express how he feels. Love love love ❤

this was just the cutest most wholesome paramore interview ever i love them so much. when zac was complimenting hayley on her lyrics and voice that has to be one of my favourite moments from a paramore interview ever.
Zane Lowe is just a fantastic interviewer. I love how he gets music, he gets artists, he's so intelligent and he has such a great amount of emotional intelligence. I think this every time I listen to or watch his interviews, but this interview really showed it. Like, for a start. he made a space where Taylor felt safe to say "I feel really anxious right now" and then he and the band adapted and started to allow him to talk about why he felt like it, and let him have his moment to get it out safely. Then him being so sincere in reassuring Taylor was absolutely what I want to see every interviewer doing. What's more is when Taylor then reveals he has ADHD and he feels like he can't fidget, Zane totally shatters any tense feeling in the room. He let's Taylor know he relates to him, and explains how, and then has that moment where he just exclaims "we're all off our game!" and breaks that tension again so expertly and makes the band laugh. I don't think people appreciate enough how much power an interviewer has, and how you can actually have really good, meaningful interviews where people can be vulnerable without being taken advantage of and it's safe. That's what Zane Lowe does. I just really appreciate him.
I had an idea Hayley and Taylor were close but I didn't know they were in an actual relationship, that's amazing, I wish both of them the best. I can't wait for the new album.
If you want know more, they've been dating since circa 2018. The rumours were flying about people seeing them being affectionate to each other publicly, then Hayley's solo projects happened and both her songs & interviews were very telling, too. But they confirmed it officialy when This Is Why (the song) came out in September in interview for The Guardian.

I met Taylor years ago outside an Underoath show & he was 100% the nicest human being. I was so nervous because Paramore was my WORLD. He made me feel so normal.

When Hayley talked about how she used to retaionalize a toxic relationship by telling herself "it hurts because it's real" it immediately made me think of the lyrics in Still into You "it's not a walk in the park to love each other but when our fingers interlock can't deny you're worth it. Obviously that song is banger, but it's so sad to know that it is basically her gaslighting herself into staying in something that wasn't good for her but finding any excuse to do so because that's ehat felt natural and comfortable in a way
Idk why they keep playing that song tbh. Well, in a way I do understand because it was plummeted the band to another level but she wrote that with another person in mind…I wouldn’t be able to even hear it let alone singing it

The beauty of this interview is in the way that guys opened up. I remember them always sitting and being shy and rarely talking during interviews. Some people used to blame it on Hayley and said she overshadowed them but it feels more like she was feeling their anxiety and protected them

We all know Zac might be one of the best drummers in the universe, Hayley one of the best vocalists… but Taylor, man… he is so fucking underrated. It is difficult for Taylor to get all the compliments he deserves, the little faces he makes because of his shyness, but today it is so important to handle your emotional world and I feel that little by little he is finding that anchor, a lot of respect for him and his process. 💖💖💖💖
oh this interview felt so close to my heart, seeing Taylor talk so much about his experiences with writing and with his anxiety felt validating and made me see him a bit more clearly. and how Hayley talks so openly about her personal life and how she deals/cope with her mental health and keeps trying to improve through therapy damn that speaks to me in such a deeper level??? I've been going through a lot for years because of my own generational trauma and seeing her talk about her perspective is always enlightening
Aaah just finished it and I love and appreciate Zane so much, but I do have to admit that it kind of gives me bad chills whenever he mentions HOW anxious and quiet Taylor is. I can relate to T sooo much, I struggle with anxiety too. And I kind of hate when people are putting the spotlight onto introverts too much. I love how they unfroze T, he certainly felt a lot calmer later on in the interview. But he seemed quiet uncomfortable whenever they were like "Oh finally he said something." Know what I mean? Anyway, big fan. Cried a little during the interview and I did love the part where they talked about the anxiety, especially! I think I've never seen that in any interview ever.
Ugh, this is so true. You think you're in a comfortable space and open up to someone only to be met with "Omg! You're finally talking!" It definitely looked like that comment bothered him :/
I know I'm way late on this. As someone with severe social anxiety who got that comment a lot in school growing up, I certainly agree and I noticed that as well. We just have to keep in mind that no one ever says all the perfect things, even Zane. I think he was just really excited with how the interview had gone and didn't put the thought into that comment, other than trying to keep things funny. Taylor seemed to feel it for a second, but I think he realizes how well-intentioned and kind-hearted Zane is with them, that he didn't sit with it. Typically when people say something like that, you can tell they just don't understand that level of anxiety at all and are coming from a place of judgment. With Zane it's a little different, because it's apparent that that's not the case, that he empathizes and respects those feelings. Zane did incredible, commendable work with this interview, and I'm glad the band feels they have a safe outlet for diving into their psyches surrounding their albums now. They did another shorter interview remotely shortly after the album release, and Taylor was just heaping Zane with praise and love lol.

So yeah, it may seem a little insensitive at first, but if we pay respect to their connection, you‘re absolutely right. In this case it’s just not that simpleto say „they don’t get him/ the anxiety“. This is sincerely the best interview I have ever seen. Somehow Zane is able to bring out the most viscerally honest and unfiltered emotions and testimonies from H, T and Z, and I am forever grateful (and somewhat proud) that the three band members feel safe enough in Zane and their entire fanbase to share their minds with us so candidly. Hearing Taylor talk about his mental health and creative process… I really saw myself in him, and as a musician in their early twenties trying to figure life out, it means the world to me to know my favourite band of 10 years has the exact same sort of creative struggles, frustrations, anxieties and even victories that I experience working in my bands. I feel inspired and encouraged to know that I am not expected to have it all together if I ever succeed in this career. There’s always going to be obstacles in our minds. If these guys can find ways around that, so can I. Big love to Hayley, Zac, Taylor and Zane for capturing this precious hour of footage. This is such a unique insight into the minds of some of the most influential musicians around today. I’m enriched by this. Thank you ❤️

liar is one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard, i can’t listen to it without crying. seeing the way hayley lit up when she was talking about liar just makes me treasure this song even more. so happy for all of them on their growth and this amazing album x
This my most favorite band ever. Their dynamic and respect for each other is incredible. You can see how much they’ve matured and how they’re in such a good place right now. Was at the last concert in Nashville in 2018 and then the one on Monday night at the opry, and the energy was so positive. I love how they really play for the fans and are so heartfelt with their gratitude.
taylor mentioning he has adhd meant a lot to me ive been struggling a lot with my adhd recently and just hearing that he fidgets and stuff like that sent me to tears and also with him being open about his anxiety as well was so nice to hear. this whole interview was great and I enjoyed every second of it. thank you zane for this your interviews with paramore are always my favourite

It's so interesting to hear Taylor talk about how he didn't want you first on the record and it's my favourite song on the track right now I think he sounds fantastic. Also how he said he hears lyrics last in songs is so interesting, pure guitarist at heart. His playing absolutely bangs in every song and his guitar playing style is the one of the things that make paramore so special they're all just so amazing together they're a perfect blend ❤

I can't stress enough how much goodness Paramore has brought into my life, they will probably never know or truly understand, but I want to say it anyways. Nobody is perfect, and thats ok. And idk my life is just filled with so many good memories where Paramore is the reason for it some way or another.
Been a passive Paramore enjoyer here and there... But this album hit me different. If feels like my mid 30's self matched exactly with the whole vibe of the album. Don't know if I've ever thought the drums across an entire album have been more perfect than this. Also, I feel what Taylor talked about with not hearing the lyrics. It's absolutely the last thing I hear, but as I began to hear the lyrics - they fit exactly what I was already feeling with the instrumentation. And the lyrics are so simple but profound and they seem so absolutely honest I just love it all. This interview really helped give me some insight to delve deeper into the songs as well as help me reframe and begin to ask more questions about my own feelings and experiences. I just want to thank Zane for creating such a safe space and friendship with the band that hayley felt comfortable talking about Liar. It’s one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard (right behind crystal clear) and I was dying to hear Hayley talk about the creative process behind it, but thought she wouldn’t or be very shallow about her answer…while instead we got almost 5 minutes, the longest of any of the songs talked about and Hayley going so deep and real with it. I look forward to these interviews everytime and I hope Zane forever and always interviews the band, it’s always the best ❤

i loved this interview. i've been following the band since the first album and sometimes i'm guilty of feeling "i know them" but in reality its their past versions or even certain facades they showed because they were still growing. i feel like this made me get to know them on a much deeper and mature way, especially taylor i feel. like, really appreciating their human side as well as their art with all of the imperfections and struggles. even felt i got to know zane a bit more too. yeah, loved it. what a treat.
