Oh my gosh 5 years? I remember when this cover, the actual song, and Paramore’s album dropped. I was barely at community college and now I’m here in a masters program. Treasure your time it goes by so fast!!
I see this type of comment all the time how Spotify is fucked for not having a song on their roster. Why do people still use it ? RU-vid music has everything lol I love it
@@timbrown7039 First of all you say calling someone trash is a good way to argue? The guy I responded to was just hating for no reason. You should never ever call a artist or anyone trash. There are always people who relates to the artists and they all have their purposes to be in the industry. You/He could've just said that it is not your cup of tea instead of hating for no reason. Paramore / Hayley Williams has a big fanbase, you can't deny her talent. If you do, go check out her live performances. I don't know how you clicked on this video to just spread hate and call this "chick" talentless. But however, just give the video a thumbs down and leave, instead of talking shit without arguing properly.
Tim Brown ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nzs78ocaGPM.html listen and then try and say she can’t sing. Idiot. She has a different style of voice to ones you compare. But you might not understand variances in music. How broad does your taste and spectrum in music go? I’m guessing not very far. Yes the caliber of Leona Lewis etc are off the scale and in a class of their own but to call this trash really is a dumb thing to say.
Check out Australian stations Triple J's youtube channel. They've been doing it for a few years. The concept is to invite a band/artist in to do one original and one cover. They've had some gems through the years!
Like a Version is soooo good. I love listening in on a Friday to hear them live and get so excited for the really good ones. Always checking up on Triple J and BBC Radio 1 for their cover uploads. Highly recommend everyone reading to check out Triple J as well!!

is this the first time you've heard ANY band play? lol. the point of ANY band is to be in sync, everyone is usually 99 or 100% in sync when theyre playing live, albeit a few performances due to human error. if you play an instrument or understand music fundamentals, it's not that hard once u practice with a band a few times. they've been working together over a decade. I don't mean to be that thorn in the bush but thats the truth. I love Hayley's voice thats why i clicked this video. she's an amazing performer and her band mates as well. its just your comment stood out like someone trying to sound smart but not actually saying anything and I'm bored before going to dinner, figured i get to speak my mind just like u have.
+FinishMe I'm actually interested in how you arrived at your response from my comment 😂 But i can see how you may have--I just took a course on music appreciation at my college, so my brain was stuck on analyzing music by melody, harmony, timbre etc. (wmich.edu/mus-gened/mus170/RockElements.pdf) So with that recent background I pulled the quality of their harmony as being a highlight from this performance. (unrelated but I did receive an A in the class. it was just an easy class lol) I appreciate a good debate, and comments that cause me to sit back and analyze. So I appreciate that (albeit how "slippery slope" like the comment was)
This song will forever be one of my personal favorite covers , I remember taking my first solo road trip out of state I’m from Florida so I’ve never been out of state in my life till 2018 in the summer , my destination was the great smoky mountains National park in eastern Tennessee and when I arrived around the outskirts of the park this song was playing and all I could see was the mountains and hills with the weather being overcast and foggy it was so beautiful to see all that and with the vibe this song gave driving through that area . I cry sometimes because during those times I started to fall in love with nature and it was my first time being around an ecosystem like the smoky mountains cause in Florida it’s all flatlands and not a whole lot of scenic areas and I replay that memory with this song and it’s just so emotional to me 😄😄😄 sorry about the long comment guys just felt like I should put it out there 🙂🙂🙂
you guys are all funny. i'm a guitarist, just graduated at berklee college of music and I grew up listening to amazing shred guitarists such as petrucci etc, and i have deep appreciation for them. but if you can't understand why this is great... you gotta branch out.
I was trying to get my body in better health after being wheelchair/walker bound for a while and used to walk around a lake to this song because it just made me happy and my steps could match the beat ❤
hailey can sing black songs and fit right in. she really sings from the diaphragm & belts out with so much emotion but makes it seem effortless, it’s so 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
She sings this amazingly well. I wish I could get a copy to listen to constantly. I didn’t like the song but listening to Hayley singing it has made it into my top 10.
Drew Mantia I was thinking the same thing listening to it it's sad cause it sounds like she's singing from the heart like she experienced the same thing that the song is trying to say.
No i don't feel she pushes her artistic limit, to paint her own picture. She's just staying ahead of the trend. I don't like that about them. The business end of it
Love - adore - inspired by 6 yr old to get into music - now 11. Plays guitar, uklele... she loves Paramore and their gift of art more than I can even say!!!!!!!!!!!!
They've been around for over ten years. They went through a huge peak over the course of a few years and never went away. So I don't know what you mean underrated?
1) they're* 2) Paramore has done emo (yes, that is a music genre), alterntive, punk, rock, pop, folk, acoustic, new wave and synth-pop and Drake's style is hip-hop/rap. This song specifically may be a bit more towards pop direction, but that still doesn't diminish the fact that they've covered many different genres
TYN Films no offense but that's pretty sad, there are some jaw dropping covers out there. Ever heard of Christina Grimmie? No, look her up. Voice of an angel and sings with them now.
Henry Lewis ya I know who Christina is, she rawks and I will forever love her but IN MY OPINION this is the best cover I’ve ever heard. We all have different opinions. Don’t fight me
They need to do more song covers like this. Not JUST paramore but many more groups, bands, and artist. The most underrated artist can do the most with art.
Luis Fuentes It definitely has. Her amazing voice has always been so criminally and disgustingly underappreciated. She's an extremely talented musician and vocalist. One of the most talented out there, but sadly, real artists like her don't get as much recognition as the no talent, poptard hacks like Taylor Swift, and the rest of them.
Luis Fuentes I seen her live last night in Chicago :,) she sounds EXACTLY like in the album it’s freaking crazy !! Such a wonder voice ! She’s the cutest !!
It's cause she's loves entertaining, jumping around, and generally rocking hard on stage. She could easily sing with the best if she didn't move. But where would be the fun in that?
What to Heck In the Pop Punk world yes,but i'm talking Beyoncé level. I still can't get over the fact that she is just 28. They've been in the game young.
Veda Thipparthi can't believe I didn't know about their split. I thought about their relationship a lot. it seemed so strong over the years, perfect for each other. but I guess no one really knows what's going on from the outside looking in
Drake and Paramore should record Passion as a duet. Hayley Williams voice is soulfulness in a rock and roll shell. Ear candy. It is a well written song. I do appreciate the passion.
this is a live session, so not really a fair comparison, but the original is more focused on the funky beat, and comes off more as a party jam, where as this is more vocally driven, focusing on the lyrics and emotions of the song
TheRickyp83 she is the best voice of any music gender. She can sing everything. And live it's amazing, you can't even believe she's singing live. She's probably the only one who sounds better live than in the albums.
Yes, Hayley sounds greayt, but the musical arrangement sounds amazing too and you have to thank the musicians for that. I'm sure Taylor had most to do with the music in this cover, he needs props too.
I'm sorry to comment something that might be considered rude but your comment wound me up a little bit... Taylor and the other members have literally copied the entire arrangement from the original song. So if you are gonna 'thank' anyone you should maybe consider thanking Nana Rogues who actually wrote the song for/with Drake. Also, Hayley's vocals are blissful and almost flawless not to mention she changed up the vocal melody. As far as I can hear the band members didn't change much and I can hear a certain someone fluffing up his finger picking at points in the song. Sooooo, yeh.
