I would never! I have a personal connection with each original Paramore song! It brings back memories of high school and just being lost and the only thing that understood me was music!
4 years ago i started planning my suicide. 4 years ago i randomly ran into this video. it related to me so much i remember sitting in my dark room & replaying this song while balling my eyes out. i listened to all their songs & saw twloha for the first time. i realized i wasnt alone & started fighting for my life. today im sitting here listening to the song that changed everything. im now working in a tattoo shop, have a loving boyfriend & friends that would die for me. thank you so much.
i've been struggling w suicidal thoughts again lately (university lmao). i've been listening to emergency on repeat bc the lyrics make me feel something lol. i hope i find the happiness that you've found sometime soon :'-)() it's amazing how music is always there for you when you have no one else
I’ve been coming back to this flawless performance by a freezing cold Hayley Williams for 15 years now. I bet I can find my old comments from when I was an angsty child listening to this on my giant desktop computer locked in my bedroom.
Paramore is still Paramore. They dont care about fame, they care about their fans, and they just happen to have millions of them. Their music got them where they are, and their new music will take them even farther. As long as Paramore still makes great sounding and inspiring music from the heart, i'll love them. And if your a true fan, you will too. So you can go along saying how the old Paramore was better, and i'll just keep getting inspired by the one that still stands today.
Here's my opinion. In every single band, the one who gets all the fame is the lead singer. And there's nothing wrong with that, I think it's pretty normal and expected. I don't think Zac had that much of a problem with that, it's Josh who dragged him with him. It's pretty clear now that Josh wanted to be the one who gets all the credits, since he now has his own band, named by his last name (really?). Not to mention their/his music video (Colour Rush) which all it shows is Josh. Now that you've seen it, I hope you realised how ridiculous the top comment is. How were the Farro brothers responsible for Paramore's genre back then? Most teenagers, at the age of 15-18, express themselves through Rock music. Even afer the Farro brothers left, Paramore released the "Singles Club" which is consisted of "original paramore songs". And now what? You're expecting from 25+ year old people to keep writting exactly the same music as they did 8 years ago?? That's not possible. They don't write music for their fans. Noone does. Music is a form of art and art is all about expressing yourself. YOURSELF. They're not teens anymore. They're not "Misery Factories" anymore. They've grown up, they've become mature and I'm sorry if you people are butthurt. The Self-Titled album is exactly what it's name is about. It's about how they view the world now that they've grown up. And it's still as "Paramore" as the past albums. Actually, it's even more.
I agree completely. The self titled album wasn't that bad they're doing what they want to do and they are happy that's what matters. Plus some of the songs are still "rock" not the same as their older stuff obviously but they aren't even that pop.
WildRenji I was thinking the same about Josh!!!! omg, it's so true, he's amazing but he always wanted all the credits, all the fame... the name of his band is his last name lol
WildRenji *slow clap* Finally. Another sensible human being. Couldn't possibly agree more w/ everything you said. I'm 25, just a year younger than Hayley and 6 days older than Taylor (yes, I counted lol). When I was in high school I loved that angsty emo rock b/c I was an angsty hormonal teenager. By the time I got to college I had mellowed out some and was more into alternative, which was the direction they went with in BNE. The older they get, the more their sound evolves, and the same goes with my tastes in music. Idk anyone my age that still listens to angsty emo rock, or at least not on a regular basis. That's just a part of growing up. And it would have happened whether the Farro's stayed or left the band.
I kinda feel for Josh. He probably wasn't expecting ALL that fame, it just got too big for him way too fast (that's what I think). He just wanted to make great music with his friends and have a good time. But it got too industrial and that's where the "angry" letter came from. But I also like where Paramore is right now, making positively-messaged music :)
I love the old Paramore which has a music sounds like wounded cause it makes me feel like somebody's understanding me. When my heart is broken or everythings not always all right. This song helps me the most and the acoustic is perfect. I miss Zac and Josh but I love new Paramore, too. They're still trying to find tehir own ways, not to be like anyone as me. So we gotta deal with it, and aren't the videos are still there? We can watch 'em anytime. Love Paramore in all ways. ❤️
I think we have an emergency I think we have an emergency If you thought I'd leave then you were wrong 'Cause I won't stop holding on Are you listening? Are you watching me? If you thought I'd leave then you were wrong 'Cause I won't stop holding on We have an emergency So are you listening? Cause' I can't pretend that I don't see this It's really not your fault And no one cares to talk about it So can we talk about it 'Cause I've seen love die Way too many times When it deserved to be alive And I've seen you cry Way too many times When you deserved to be alive Alive So you give up every chance you get Just to feel new again I think we have an emergency I think we have an emergency And you do your best to show me love But you don't know what love is So we have an emergency So are you listening? Cause' I can't pretend that I don't see this It's really not your fault And no one cares to talk about it So can we talk about it 'Cause I've seen love die Way too many times When it deserved to be alive And I've seen you cry Way too many times When you deserved to be alive Alive The scars, they will not Fade away And no one cares to talk about it So can we talk about it 'Cause I've seen love die Way too many times When it deserved to be alive (when it deserved to be alive) I've seen you cry Way too many times When you deserved to be alive Alive
Yrihat Sg No it isn't. The original colour is brown, in interviews Hayley has said that her natural colour is like Jeremy's and she recently posted a picture on twitter captioned "natural" showing brown hair growing at her roots. Also in all the old photos of her, her hair is brown. This includes her pictures of her childhood when she wouldn't have changed her hair colour.
She said when she was younger it was like a dirty blond then it turned into brown. And she calls it a nasty brown now and doesn't like it. That's why she dyes it.
Love the acoustic version of this song. Emergency has such an amazing meaning that I can relate to. XD Paramore are so awesome even when they perform live!
I've seen love die way too many times when it deserved to be alive. I've seen you cry way too many times when you deserved to be alive. alive. This. is. so. true. and. beautiful.
Janna rawr i feel like paramore have developed a more pop vibe now rather than their band vibe, which is quite saddening, i dont really like their newest album because of it
Eh, Paramore definately went poppy with After Laughter and some songs ended up being more poppy than rocky on Self-Titled (but I consider it pop-rock at its poppiest), but it's not like pop made in 2015 and onward; it's not just some beat with vocals slapped on it, it's made with actual instrumentals and genuine lyrics, and generally manages to set a mood that isn't just "meh."
@@jawsome1185 paramore just is. Haley can sing and perform in any genre I just hope they continue on. Music industry has gone to shit now days we really need them to stick it out no matter what genre they chose
I could never get tired of this song and its meaning. My husband and i both came from broken homes and having that experience is one of the reasons we have stuck it out through times when others might have given up.The tough times have only made us stronger. We are crazy about eachother.I can truly say i am more inlove with him now than ever.
this song is about Hayley's thought about love and broken family because his parents got divorced when she was just a little kid, feel poor to Hayley to had to went through that experience in such a young age
I just love how josh ended on the wrong note 😂 like the whole song was perfect and then that last note loll just look at they’re cute pauses when he does that then hayleys cute laugh
I watched and listened this video when I was 14 years old. Now that I am 30, I'm still here watching it. Oh I just love Paramore! I love hayley here better. XOXO
I think we have an emergency I think we have an emergency If you thought I'd leave then you were wrong 'Cause I won't stop holding on So, are you listening? So, are you watching me? If you thought I'd leave, then you were wrong 'Cause I won't stop holding on This is an emergency So, are you listening? And I can't pretend that I don't see this It's really not your fault That no one cares to talk about it To talk about it 'Cause I've seen love die Way too many times When it deserved to be alive (When it deserved to be alive) And I've seen you cry Way too many times When you deserved to be alive Alive So, you give up every chance you get Just to feel new again I think we have an emergency I think we have an emergency And you do your best to show me love But you don't know what love is So, are you listening? So, are you watching me? Well, I can't pretend that I don't see this It's really not your fault And no one cares to talk about it To talk about it 'Cause I've seen love die Way too many times When it deserved to be alive (When it deserved to be alive) I've seen you cry Way too many times When you deserved to be alive Alive The scars, they will not fade away No one cares to talk about it To talk about it 'Cause I've seen love die Way too many times When it deserved to be alive (When it deserved to be alive) I've seen you cry Way too many times When you deserved to be alive Alive
This song hits differently... dedicating this song to my best friend. If you thought I'd leave, then you were wrong. Cause I won't stop holding on. Depression sucks. It's not always easy, but we'll keep fighting by God's grace.
I was seventeen the first time I heard this song on a punk sampler disc. I've been madly in love ever since. A voice like that is truly a gift from the universe. I just wish that i didn't scream so much during those emo years. really did a number on my vocal chords. and now they tire out after one or two songs if I'm really belting them out. Damn you Bert!!! Should have kept the lid on the box of sharp objects lol. and now that I'm thinking of the used... next up-Just a little. that song still gives me chills.. I'll continue my rant there. Much love peeps.
