@Nixon Colten hey guys maybe talk to your girlfriends if you're having problems instead of hacking their instagrams, thats wildly abusive and toxic, like, in no way shape or form is that kind of garbage acceptable to do to ANYONE let alone your significant other, get therapy.
you have to play the drums with the same intensity during sound check because they are EQing and getting the levels correct for the venue. If he plays chill at sound check, the live mix wont be tuned...
Ilan is an incredibly talented and entertaining drummer. Plays with total commitment and passion and a pleasure to watch. Thanks for the upload. Keep on rocking IIan and Paramore.
He crushes it in NIN. He gave NIN so much life back. I am a new Paramore fan. I should probably listen to Angels and Airwaves next. I heard Rubin’s own band too and it is pretty good.
Say sorry for what? It's that loud you won't be able to hear anyone complain... In all seriousness, I'm glad these guys still use real amps the old school way. It being loud is probably because this video was shot from right in front of one of those amps. It's sucks to hear I've been playing this song wrong the whole time back when I played this with a band. But I think I was just trying to fill in the lack of a 2nd guitarplayer and a dummed out bassplayer playing some kind of made up simplyfied version of this. Those were the days.
He's better than Zac Farro imo. shame he didn't become permanent member after the hard altermative influence he gave in the self titled album. On the other hand, im glad he's now in my all time favorite band, Angels and Airwaves.
ilan joined AVA a year earlier from the recording of paramore’s self-titled, and he’s the drummer for nine inch nails since 2009. so he’s a pretty busy guy. but on the bright side, this allowed zac to come back in 2016, which was so great for the band. zac and ilan are two of my favorite drummers.
Jay Dong he is using the tamborine. He uses the crash above for the accents during that part. But he is using his 24" ride as a crash through various parts of the song.
From Ian’s own tweet...he’s ambidextrous. And a top man. Tweeted a reply to my question to him whilst in Europe on tour. You have to hear him live. His kit and style are nuclear.
Yes he is way better. Respect for Dave Grohl he’s a legend but this kid kills the drums. But hey what do you expect when Travis Barker gives you drum lessons!!!
Joseph Smith I’m a drummer...I guess mist are who watch drum uploads! I also play open handed. Sometimes my left arm feels the way Rubins looks...drummers will get that. The angles of influence and comfort and all that. Rubins left arm is poetic to watch. It’s so fucking smooth that it makes me very jealous and very in awe. Into Dimon Philips as well right now. Toto drummer. He plays open handed. That’s also super smooth but it’s tappy. Rubin is smashy the fuck out of whatever he hits. Never seen anything like him live. His kit helps too. Booming 24” Q drum layered with Roland triggers to add extra...boom! It’s all boom. And I never thought I’d like this type of drumming. How anyone can almost steal NIN gigs is remarkable to me.
@@jamisbillson4872 he's really doing nothing especially intricate here, just hitting hard and doing some basic fills. the only reason you think he's amazing is because he hits really fucking hard (like grohl). not saying he's bad, but he is not on another league.
Yeah, but 2:11 is still worth it. Ilan is as goofy a drummer as he is talented. This is a sound test! He's funny, he really attacks every set as a challenge.
WTF is with any lead singer of a band just dancing in mute and taking photos during a stage rehearsal? How precocious are you to not test with the band?
