absolutely! someone else uploaded this same version back in 2010 and it was removed a few years later. i was devastated and couldn’t find it anywhere else until now.
This version used to be on RU-vid back in the 2010’s and it was removed! I’m so thankful you re-uploaded it! This is Brad’s ultimate rendition of Paranoid Android!
@@daviddelayat-dnapictures Unfortunately, many of his live concert performances have disappeared from RU-vid since that time. I’m thankful for this being uploaded again.
I wonder how much of this is improvised, does he ever loose his place in the song in the moment and meander back to where he should be? I get the feeling playing this song was as much of a journey of discovery for him as it is for us.
Hi Joel. It is hard to answer this question but it is fun to think about it. I think Brad has a particularly unique talent which allows him to play syncopations that are beyond the reach of most of us. Knowledge being experiential, we are left to guess at what it is like to play at his level. That said, patterns can be practiced and learned, then spliced together - (seamlessly, one would hope) - which give the illusion of brilliance. What we think of as talent might just be the product of dedicated practice and skill development. When our skills are fully developed, our musical "style" is just a dialect of the language called music. Could someone improvise within that dialect with such perfection that the listener cannot discern error from intention? Yes, I suppose that is possible.
I always listen to that song with the same feeling and overwhelming emotion, for me when I take the time to listen to it completely and silently I feel like it's a detailed story of my lifetime like since I'm born to the day I die in just one song. Thinking that life is just a series of challenge that leads you to enjoy the sweet and nice but short moments that could accur through all that crap sometimes. Makes me cry all the time damn you Brad !
Can anybody indicate what album is this version included in? I know it is not Largo, nor Tokyo. I have been acquainted with it for almost twenty years now.
this earlier version is better than the 2002 version on Largo, I was getting some Mandela effect vibes on Spotify until I found this one. I think it's from Deregulating Jazz which was only released as a promo and explains why it isn't on Spotify. I remember having it as a promo at a record store I worked at.
