25th was depicted in the movie"Platoon" that came out in 1987. The Twenty-Fith ID , "Tropic Lightning " saw alot of action in the PTO, Korea 1950-53 , and was sent brigade size in spring of 1965. It was one of the USA s first units over in SouthVietnam , and began it's fighting in The Central Highlands , along with the 101st Airborne Division ,who arrived about the time in early spring 1965, and The 173Rd Airborne Brigade that also simultaneously arrived with the other units mentioned before; early 1965 actually about the same time USA Marines started to arrive late 64 an early 65. Later some battalions of the 25th ID we're sent near Gay Nihn , and some stayed in the Central Highlands being absorbed by the USAs 4th ID; in "Platoon" one soldier wears his original psych of the 25yh ID , and the other arm he wears his current USAs 4th ID patch .
Song came out around SouthVietnams Easter Offensive launched by the NVA and Vietcong , around early 4/1972! It was considered an offensive larger than TETof early 1968 to mid- 3/1968.

Very nice video, my biggest fear in combat wasn't the enemy so much, it was running short/out of ammo, not a good situation & anyone who has been in combat & said they had no fear of anything was either lying or so far out there they had lost their mind to reality, & the feller at appx. 2:00 seemed to have been hit after departing the huey or fell, that passes me off, anyone know if he was hit ?
