As a Buddhist I loved seeing recognition by another religion, so many religions anymore just shut out other religions. Remember to keep an open mind everybody, we all have our personal beliefs.

I think Buddhism is good, but some buddhists are killing muslims of all ages in Burma. I think Islam is good, but some muslims are extremists and terrorists. I also think that Christianity is good, but many groups and individuals have killed other people of other faiths. I guess we should not judge religion or belief by its followers. this is not meant to incite a debate or discussion. just sharing my thoughts. Respect is the key!

Creative North if there are "buddhists" killing others then they are not true buddhists, my friend. The very first precept, or rule, in Buddhism is to "abstain from harming living beings" including people, animals, etc.

This was incredible! As an American, right now I'm pretty depressed. it's really really nice to see such a beautiful, positive, secluded place that is going to stay that way, no matter what. It looks so special and beautiful, and I've never even heard of it before. I got chills and was crying throughout all of this. I wanna go there. Thank you for sharing this.

Lily Cox yeah, you should look into scientology. You will probably find it interesting, but you may of already researched it. Watch the Louis Theroux documentary on it if u have the chance.

Damanhur is the best!!!! I go there constantly and it is my home! The philosophy, the people, and the magic are indescribable. You just need to GO and experience it!!! Do the New Life Program if you can get away for 3 months or do the Amine Program for 10 days.- THANK YOU for doing such a beautiful job!

I would not consider it promoting, more like explaining/understanding. He's not telling anyone to join, and I doubt anyone will convert to it after watching this. But having compassion for others and understanding their reasons behind what they do is important and this video does that for me.

I'm an Egyptian so when I first read "Damanhur" I immediately thought of an Egyptian city with the same name, so I googled it and I was right.. It turned out that "Damanhur in Italy is named after the Egyptian city of Damanhur which was the site of a temple dedicated to Horus."

A pretty quick google search lead me to some interesting feelings of ex-members of the "community." I'm not sure this is the type of place you want to be inspired by, or show to young impressionable viewers. The wikipedia description alone felt very cult-like without actually saying it was a cult. But, if it looks like a cult, and sounds like a cult, it's probably a cult.

Wow, the Temple of Humankind really reminds me of a temple / community centre in an amazing book called City of Refuge by Starhawk... Very inspiring and relevant to humankind at this time! It's the sequel to another AMAZINGLY inspiring book called The Fifth Sacred Thing, also by Starhawk. Worth checking out, for anyone who happens to see this comment! ;)
