I don't know if we can ever "contact" someone that passed away, unless it's still trapped in the house. But if it isn't lingering around anymore, we can't reach him/her, because maybe he either reincarnated or went to the so-called heaven/hell. Just my opinion here. Yeah definitely, I've seen some content creators play around with all these rituals and use the ouija board and they find it as a game. Legit you need to be extremely cautious when communicating with the spirit world I think. I know demons and evil spirits do some wierd shit. They pretend to be loved ones, they tell you crazy things, make you think your crazy. @@charlottewhite1277 I don't know about schizophrenia being the devils work, but I was engaged to a guy about 18 years ago who, after we split up, found out he was schizophrenic. He was mean and abusive. Big time alcoholic and talked to the air all the time. I was in high school and didn't know anything about the disease. He ended up talking his own life about 13 years ago when our son was 6yo. Now that we found out his dads medical history, we're , my husband and i, are keeping a close eye on my son for any signs of the disease. It's awful and there isn't anything anyone can do to really help
@@amandapetersen41 ,yes,its hereditary and/or can be brought on by their surroundings. My son has it and won't stay on any meds .he hears things that aren't there for me to hear and he hallucinates. Its bad if he uses but he's been clean n sober for 2beautiful, and blessed years.But wen i found out he was diagnosed with it, i did alot of research. Some dr say med work, some say its actually a demonic attack. But i don't know. May your son be blessed with perfect health 😇🤗. Also, im sorry for the hell that you endured with his father. Those evil spirits made that poor young man believe he'd trapped them in those boxes.. If he had done that in reality, he wouldn't be needing help. He must stop trying to communicate with his dad. Something mimicked his father into allowing them into shawn's life.
Actually, if you recall; he didnt say hed trapped the demon in the box, he said he trapped parts of the one demon in the boxes. He said as he felt it in different parts of his body hed expel it into a container. Dont get me wrong...im not saying the story is true, but the human mind is an incredible machine. I completely agree. They have some weird stuff going on but the poor guy seems to have developed schizophrenia, possibly due to the trauma of losing his father. It may have been developing over time, but his death may have taken him over the edge. I don't doubt that he was being attacked by an evil presence because people like that are more vulnerable to this. I feel badly for him. I wish his mother would take a bit more responsibility for her son and see if a diagnosis and medication would help with the situation. The poor guy needs some peace in his life.
I agree, I hope Shawn gets spiritual and mental peace. I've had hauntings in two houses I've lived in, and poor mental health really leaves someone exposed. It can scare you easier, and tap energy from fear. They like to be acknowledged in their existence too, and scaring you is validation and fuel to them. My experience is they attach to you through your fear and curiosity; it invites them in. I have tackled my C-PTSD and depression, and I no longer live with people with addiction issues. Life is good, and spirits are calm now.

For example, if an urban explorer claims to be a skeptic yet somehow always seems to magically capture paranormal activity it's probably fake. Ghost videos get more views which equals more revenue. Once a youtuber figures that out and you notice a shift in their content that's a huge red flag. In real life it's very difficult and rare to capture evidence on camera. That's how you can tell the Fourman brothers don't fake content. They go to highly active places but don't always capture a lot. That's what real investigations are like.

I've been an investigator with John Zaffis for over a decade and experienced some pretty crazy things that haven't phased me. John's very thick skinned as well. Granted, he and I are most likely a minority but being alive doesn't automatically mean you scare easily. The Fourman brothers have my respect. However, these other youtube amateurs who ask for a response and run the other way if they receive it baffles me. Firefighters can't run the other way from a fire. The paranormal field has become more of a get-famous quick scheme nowadays where the wrong people are in it for all the wrong reasons. I'm not implying that's you. Just speaking in general. It's important to have certain traits in different lines of work. Not scaring easily is essential in this one - at least if you want to make a real impact.

I did an investigation at a Cemetery that I'd never been to til that day. I grew up in the same small town where it is but I, for some reason, never even knew where it was located. Until a family friend was laid to rest there. The day of his services, something drew me in. I decided I wanted to go back that night at 3am alone, to do a live stream Paranormal Investigation with my spirit box and all. Everything went so well that first night (or so I thought) so I went back the next night, alone, at 330am! Long story short, the second night was all bad! I had a bad gut feeling before I even pulled into the Cemetery! Some black entity blocked my exit, then tried to attach to my vehicle and ride home with me! When I finally was able to review my footage from night 1, I realized I had caught a class A EVP telling me to get out of there before "he hurt" me! Now, I didn't catch this EVP on my voice recorder. I caught it ON MY CAMERA! So you can clearly hear it in the live stream playback! Since those 2 nights, so many bad things have happened in my life! My truck I drove out there is broken down and is 100% nonrepairable! I've had it at 2 places, one was the dealership! I need to know what I need to do from here! I'm newer to Investigations but I've had Paranormal encounters since I was 6 years old. I've done all of my investigations live on this channel if you'd like to view them. Every single time, I've had something happen! The 2 nights in this Cemetery were a total of over 12 hours long. I have watched your series in sheer awe and admiration but repeatedly find myself asking how you differentiate between a genuine demon possession and the onset of certain mental health problems, for example, auditory hallucinations to ensure that it is safe for all parties involved for an investigation to proceed? Thank you so much for all your truly brave and valuable work.
I don’t know if they interview the family first. They did an episode called “Haunting of Dawn”. That was a truly terrifying/sad episode. I was so scared for their safety! That was one of the hardest episodes for me to watch. I was so upset for her, I was so upset at her family, I was so scared for the brothers, I couldn’t understand how no one had gotten her help, whether spiritual/psychological way before then. Even the church turned her AWAY! They did stop the investigation because they said, “not sure if this is mental illness and out of respect and safety we stopped the investigation we do not want to make it worse.” So yes, I am not sure if they do research before or if they do it during the interview.
How "it" kept crawling on the floor reminded me of a verse in the Bible. I don't know the verse verbatim but it's in Genesis, after the apple eating incident, when God tells the serpent he'll crawl on his belly and eat dust all the days of his life. When my mom passed I cried every day for over a year. I was aware that if it continued I need to seek grief counseling. I told no one what I was going through. I eventually only cried once a week and then it became less and less. Eventually I could think of my mom and smile at the memories. Certain songs even years later still will bring tears but I now have spent years sharing the happy memories with her grandchildren. If you let grief get out of control you can attract those spirit's that will use the stress on your mind and body to attach. I knew that the first year would be the worst. Going through all the holidays without my mom. I was aware of that so treated myself with self care as best as I could. This young man maybe didn't do that. His mom was dealing with her own grief 😔 .

If it helps this poor man in any way, I say do what you do as far as cleansing etc., but I feel that he should also see a psychologist. His pain over seeing his Dad pass away is probably causing him mental & physical problems, which, if you want to stay with the demon theory, would at least weaken him to that kind of influence. I just got a strange impression that some of the things he describes are "off" even from the standpoint of the paranormal, and he may need another type of assistance. I hope you keep in touch with him & lend him support.
My mom fell over & passed away a yr and a half ago almost in the same manner. My son & I tried cpr & despite being a nurse 22 years, I could not save her. I understand his sentiment of wanting to hear his dads voice again. My mom was my bff & it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I hope Shawn is coping better now.
You guys are true hero's. This poor man has been going through hell for so long, now at least things are starting to look up for him and his mom. It's not bad enough that he lost his father. They always sneak their way in when we are most vulnerable. My siblings, mom and I, like you guys were tortured by a demon after stupidly going through a Ouija board phase in my mid teens. It moved and answered all our questions so we figured we were talking to our great grandma who had died a couple years earlier. That was until it started showing its true identity. We had things going missing and turning up in weird spots, voices, bangs, apparitions and physical scratches and pinching. We sold the house after a blessing from our minister, whom also witnessed the activity didn't work. The home was brand new and only 5 years old. My mom and dad built it. Ever since we are all still plagued with really bad luck, depression, anxiety and bad dreams quite often. They really take a toll on those involved. Just wanted to give you our story 20 years later. As a Medicine man I know there is another world. So don't take this the wrong way keyboard warriors. But what I see with this man is a man devastated by the death of his father. A man who tried to save him but was unsuccessful. He has taken the death of his dad and that pain of not being able to bring him back, and disassociated it, giving it a name, Richard. His mind has made it easier to believe, that it was a spirit, and not his inability to save him that resulted in the loss of his loved one. In short, he is blaming himself for his dad's death. I hope he finds peace, I hope he will eventually understand that he did not fail his dad. Keep up the good work, and fighting the good fight boys.

Thank you for your videos. I have been watching paranormal documentaries or shows for over 30 years and I am a huge believer. I grew up in a house that had many spirits and experienced a spirit running down our hallway and the running would stop at the foot of my sisters bed. We lived in an apartment when I was a pre teen and I saw a mist form but I didn’t see a defined shape. Our tv would turn on by it self and it was one that you had to pull the knob to turn on, no remotes at that time. I appreciate your show and the work you brothers do, it is hands down the best show I’ve seen.

poor guy.. I lost my dad to a heart attack when I was 25, and my sister when I was 36.. it's definitely a couple of the hardest things I've ever had to go through.. but I can say that I never tried to communicate with him or my sister.. hope all is well with him now!!
