Don’t know if anyone else feels this but the worst part about liking games or franchises in general that came out decades before you were born is that you can’t even enjoy any merchandise because most of them became rare collectors items that would cost you your kidneys (T3T)

13:49 I like the thing that a part with „I gotta believe" is cutted. It's funny & clever at the same time. Like you're waking up hearing „You gotta do what?" & you are answering the question. Even the merchandise like this have a gameplay features parralels with PtR. 33:06 Kick, punch and getting cool mode on the second stage in PTR 2, it's all in the mind.
I’m getting so hyperfixated on this game (specifically Um Jammer Lammy) and I’ve watched around multiple videos on it, and generally feel insane right now :3
Matt is such a cool dude, when he was still alive I never really like talked to him but I always made comments and he was so positive (even when I had the worst grammar in the world lmao) I really miss Matt but he will never be forgotten.
I have the Sunny at 4:00; I want the Parappa and PJ at 3:16 and the Katy at 4:04, and there's also more of these keychains of the same type in the forms of Chop Chop and PonyPony (rare character from Rodney's early designs from before PaRappa) that I'm wanting to get soon, but they're extremely rare to come by, especially the latter 2. I have pics of almost every piece of PTR/UJL merch that I've downloaded through the years, and the album's basically a museum of said merch. I would link to it, but this comment will get banned if I do that, but it's all there
I didn't even know that there was parappa merch out there! These kinds of videos are my favorite since I always find out about merch based on some of my favorite games I didn't even know about!
I came across Matt's channel only a few days back, went through a good handful of his Parappa videos and of course found out about his passing as well. May he rest in peace, he seemed like a really good guy and there's never too many of those around. Not that much Parappa merch in Europe unfortunately, if any. But thank the internet I've gotten my hands on a select couple pieces. I've got the Parappa figure and the pins shown at 42:14 and now two Parappa beanies I've bought on Etsy, as well as a fanmade shirt I'm wearing as I'm typing this. It's not much but I'm still happy with what I've got. And of course I'm always keeping an eye out for anything new that catches my eye.
Hey I actually own some of these I have the play set with gaster at 20:25 fully sealed I own the parappa plush at 39:03 but it’s a red hat variant that’s really rare And the parappa key chain at 44:49 it was for the psp release that was a preorder bonus
Wonderful video! You did a great job going in depth on so much of the merchandise. I am a big fan of parappa and lammy and this video was very helpful. Update: I now own the um jammer lammy clock!
39:47 I don't usually go to these places due to the fact i live in Poland, but i would literally sell my fricking soul to go to an experience like this.
15:12 i have the Lammy set and theres actually a few more in that set, the ones not pictured are Katy, the UJL logo, and Poofu (the little character on Lammy's shirt, to my knowledge theres 6 for UJL
@@GalacticSonicZ oh hi i almost forgot this comment existed and i forgot about parappa and damn i posted this comment for 2 years but im still a parappa fan
Imo in 1999 USA of the same day of the Unjammer Lammy concert in JP, they should’ve have Lammy & Katy live at some Chuck E. Cheese’s Restaurants & have them both interact & sing with the Chuck E Cheese Animatronic.
Or maybe only have Lammy & Katy join in Chuck E’s band ONLY for America/USA as a replacement of their Female vocalist: Helen Henny, & have Lammy, Katy, & Ma-San stay as MilkCan in Japan for Popularity & Censorship reasons like they did in the game.
Man,playstation really puts a lot of love on its sagas! Unlike nintento, they made a few sagas that are veeeeeeery underrated like f-zero,starfox,rhythm heaven, advance wars, etc.
