Whilst parasailing in turkey my daughter and I ended up being dragged by the boat through the water. We got a little banged up but no serious damage. I haven’t added details of the company we went with as it was just an accident.
When I was 20 I was in Greece thinking I was special. Took a jet ski out and as the handlebars hit me in the throat from a huge wave, I could have drowned. So easy to go so wrong
Yeah really that's wreckless endangerment I'm a skydiver and I've seen people tandem kids it pisses me off because a kid doesn't really understand the depth of the consequences if something goes wrong
When I went parasailing in France, they dunked us a few times on purpose, and it was super fun! Maybe they were trying to do that, but they weren’t experienced and messed it up.
When I did it, it was a beach takeoff. The guys on the beach were arguing (in Spanish) if I was too heavy. I was 190 lbs. Their limit was 100 kg. A bit of math and we were good to go. The boat guy (no watcher on tbe boat) flew me up until I was nearly directly over the boat. Then, I started to get concerned about the rope. Looked like a 3/8 inch ski tow rope. I started planning what I'd do when the rope broke. Well, it didn't. The boat driver brought me in perfectly to the beach.
I think what the captain was trying to do is put their feet or legs, in the water, which people like when it is done correctly. It must be done going directly up wind. You have to know the difference between air speed and ground speed, or obviously in this case water speed. I could tell by the water there was a breeze blowing and they were going way to fast for that maneuver.
What’s truly hilarious that I love is listening to someone ignorant acting all cool like they are immune to old age. Well funny guy you aren’t and faster then you have the mental ability to comprehend you are going to be either dead or that old fart biting it…. 100% life fact.
