I am deeply interested in this, woman holds children in her body and if she does not honour this. Generations of her family would be wrong. Question: If the woman did have a sexual relationship with a man isn’t that adultery and doesn’t the Torah call for the man and the woman to be put to death ? Then why, did you say separate (divorce) ? I realize that in today’s laws it is not permitted but I would imagine that in IsraEl it does apply ?
Thank you for explaining Rabbi. To a modern thinker, the 800 lb gorilla is the import or lack thereof, of a wife's jealous ideation. It would seem Torah does not give equal import here to husband and wife because complications of bloodline only go one way.
