@@knightofarkronia8652 true, but he does retain any knowledge he gains during the absorption process, like how even though Superman's powers wore off he still knew Superman was actually Clark Kent and knew where he lived, meaning he could potentially become as smart as characters like Batman or Lex Luthor permanently if he got his hands on them.

The All-Star Superman version is probably my favourite. Giving him a mouth like a leech looks unnerving as hell, but I think it really sells the idea of him actually being a parasite.

Fun Fact: in the Superman Animated Series and forward, Rudy Jones isn't wearing a suit. The chemicals burned his skin to look like that. He's fighting in the nude.

Rudy Jones from STAS was the most relatable and a very shades of grey character. I loved that he was a reg dude and not crazy or evil. Just trying to make the best of the worst situation. Even when offered to work he was was like naw that's ok, I'm good in prison plus I have cable. Lol He was written very much like an anime villain in that regard.

Kousuke Ueki It's hard to say, especially since Parasite usually has to come into physical contact with a superhero to obtain their powers temporarily, while AMAZO just has to scan them and gain a permanent boost.

I think Amazon would win. He's a robot with no organic matter so even if parasite got close to absorb amazo it be no different than sucking energy from a spoon. Also amazo powers sticks around way longer

Hmm two for amazo honestly I think parasite amazo is a machine which means no matter what it run on a power supply something that parasite can drain parasite can be shown to absorb the kinetic energy of bullets if he can do that whatever amazo runs on can be absorbed as well

Amazo is an android who can replicate superpowers,parasite can only absorb living things energy and if one of his victims is super powered then he can gain their abilities. Amazon by default has the combined powers of green lantern,the flash and superman.

Tony Stank You could absorb the energy of living beings to fuel your own reserve. You could essentially just power off of anything in your vicinity to achieve levels of power unimaginable. The possibilities of such a power in the right hands are unfathomable.

My favorite design is the one from justice league action! I just like how monstrous he looks. And the gut tentacles are a cool trick Its a shame we don’t get to see more of him. His character was probably the best in young justice though, nothing more villainous than food puns!

I loved watching Superman TAS . I thought Rudy Jones / Parasite was such a cool villain and underrated one . Brion James did a phenomenal voice performance as Parasite in Superman TAS 😮. RIP Brion James . I loved every episode featuring Parasite 🙂 Brian George did a great voice performance too in Justice League and he sounds similiar to Brion James . 🙂

Although he wasn't purple and I'm not sure if he was called "the Parasite", there was a character who absorbed energy and was clearly based on parasite in the 1966 filmation Superman cartoon

They were created essentially at the same time. Parasite I (Ray Jensen) appeared in Action Comics #340, in June 1966. The episode you're referencing, "The Pernicious Parasite" featuring a different character named IC Harris, aired in December 1966. I'm surprised the video left out the Smallville version played by Brenden Fletcher.

Hope you make an update, I just finished season 8 of Smallville and Parasite was on it. He was only named dropped once and his powers were a little different.
