FreeSchool Presents: a closer look at parasitic plants. Did you know there are some plants that do not perform photosynthesis at all? We are not talking about carnivorous plants, which supplement photosynthesis with nutrients from their prey, but rather plants that directly or indirectly steal their food from other plants. Parasitic plants are more common than you may think, making up about 1% of all flowering plant species, and can be found all around the world.
