One of the musical masterpieces of Bollywood. The song almost attained the status of love anthem due to its lyrics during and after the movie's release. Also Karishma Kapoor won the hearts of the audience along with the title 'Rani Hindustani' .The movie is acknowledged as one of her best performances ever....
Just a suggestion, for songs and scenes that don't have subtitles, I recommend that you go and search for the translation and read them out loud in the video after the song ends. It will help you understand the meaning of the lyrics, and also you can express your views about the lyrics to the viewers.
Watch Raja Hindustani cuz its career making movie for both stars, Amir and Karishma. You can even say that after that movie She become SUPER STAR and its kinda like point of accession in her carrier, where She captured no 1 heroine title in 1996 and kept it for for remainder of her carrer from 1996 to 2002. You have to remember it was the time of legends where names like Madhuri and Kajol were active and yet 21 year old girl wrecked them and if you ask me, She is the 2nd most imp person after Raj Kapoor in their family and all 3rd gen Kapoor's owe her their career including her sister Kareena !
❤️6:00 O My Goddd!!! 👑Udit Narayan Ji voice is just Mesmerizingly😍 Superb & Spellbound.🙏 He is the 👑King of Melodies of 90's✨🥰🥰🥰🥰 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐And 🙏Alka Yagnik ji is the 👑 Queen of Melodies ❤️😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
3:05 Why is Rick singing, "Pardesi, Pardesi jana nahin ! Mujhe chor ke ??" Doesn't he know it translates to "Oh foreigner (literal meaning), please don't leave me and go away !! 😜 Aamir also plays a taxi driver here, also stays in a different city, finally gets married to the love of his life with a lot of difficulties 😜😜😆😆
The actress with the eye catching make up is kalpana Iyer. She was popular in the 80s and 90s for playing the "vamp" and performing in what would be the equivalent of "item numbers" in those days, sort of like Helen but not as iconic or well known. The singer who voiced her parts is Sapna Awasthi. The woman in the video is not Sapna herself.
@@mtk3755 The problem is extremist led campaign to remove the dominant language from industry, 90's and everything before that was amazing due to Urdu. Urdu is poetic language by default and everything made in it will sound amazing. Now after 2000's they tried to adapt Hindi and this led to downfall of industry and for example every Pakistani singer did great in 2000-to now like Atif and Rahat, cuz they know proper Urdu pronunciation and 2nd extremely imp reason would be absence of Urdu writers like Selim Khan or even Javed Akhtar.
@@anupgawande8146 Yep entire world audience is not stupid and before 90's and in 90's the dominant language was Urdu cuz it contain words belonging to Persian, Turkish and Arabic languages. These words were in these languages dictionary in 210BC long before Muslim invasion of India and Hindi is the dominant language lower class of people in Mughal and British times. If you don't believe me here it from Lata Ji, Asha Bhosle, Kumar sanu and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan !
Oh, this doesn't have a subtitle. 😢 Love the music, lyrics and singing. I'm sure someone will ruin this song by making another LoFi reverb out of this in Reels/TikTok. 😓
You should have the lyrics which is the soul of this song.. without the lyrics and story of the film you won't feel that much connected with the song. I can remember wen in school my maths teacher used to tell even wen he goes to bathroom, front or back everywhere was this song. I used to wonder what so good in this song then but few years later after i watched the movie and listened to the song then realised the song is too sad it almost makes me cry whenever i listen to it.
This song brings me memories of old bus journeys and 90s markets. Street singers used to sing this everywhere, you'd hear live renditions randomly in buses/trains/marketsides all the time. I've paid up (like in coins) countless times...
Just a request.. dont react to songs without subtitles.. we love it when u get the meaning and then enjoy the songs . Some of the songs are really melodious to listen but they are even more beautiful when we understand there lyrics...
Pls react the songs with subs guys I request u..a very emotional song as always.. If u react with subs u too get tht exact emotion vibe of the songs.. 🤟
For Karishma....Zubeida, Shakti the Power, Fiza....phenomenal performances. This movie was the first good movie that Karishma got after her family lifted their sabotage of her and she did so great and people got to see her acting chops.
@@pinksaran8719 That’s not true! She was always extremely beautiful, especially in her younger days. She was transformed in this movie with sophisticated, polished high styling....clothes, hair, makeup and her own maturity from teenager and remained so.
On the movie front, not really one to recommend. It's a jumbled, melodramatic mess, even for the 90s. It did well at the time predominantly due to its soundtrack, Karishma's new look and a very controversial kiss scene between the leads.

Beautiful song...my favourite Aamir khan movie are Qayamat se Qayamat tak...and Jo jeeta wahi sikander...Hum hai rahi pyar ke...Dil hai ke manta nahi...Dil chahata hai ..
Pardesi song original english translation :- I do not say that do not fall in love Do not trust any stranger Do not go to a foreigner Do not go to a foreigner Leaving me, leaving me Do not go to a foreigner Do not go to a foreigner Pardesi pardesi jana nahi After leaving me, after leaving me Pardesi my friend keep your promise You remember me, don't forget Pardesi pardesi jana nahi After leaving me, after leaving me I love you I loved you, I loved you I left everything to you my friend I became a Yogi, I took the path of love I did not think, I did not understand, I took the disease of the heart My foreigner friend, please come back Remember me
Madhuri and kajol were number one actresses. Karishma kapoor entered that league of number one actress with this movie and peaked in 1999 with four hits.

This is not the full versions of the song. In the full version, the fierce lady gave a fierce dialogue and Karishma defied her father and got up and walked towards Aamir and they hugged and cried.
Guys you must check out Chandramukhi a Marathi movie and it’s title song CHANDRA. I am sure you gonna love it please do give your reaction for this song.
The lady is Kalpana Iyer. She usually played what they referred in the 80s to as a "vamp". The female baddy or villains female sidekick and/or the dancer/seductress
