Omg, it’s so true. I had my first child in 1988. My last child is 21, and still at home. I’ve been in “mom mode” for 32 years and I don’t know how to not be. My last child is finishing up college and I dread thinking of him moving out. It all went too fast. Right now you are smack dab in the middle of the best time of your life. You have your children and your parents. Savor this time! God bless!❤️

Y’all are the best parents. We all have those times we get mad at our kids and yell at them. Kids are very resilient and they forget quick and they love us unconditionally so they forgive. Just hang in there and remember just try and be patient but no parent is perfect and we all make those mistakes when we yell at our kids. Love y’all don’t sweat the small stuff.

I have to say that poem is super depressing, I don't want to have to feel I need to cherish every single moment with my three babies, because it's hard, and relentless, and I love them; BUT I look forward to other things about my babies in the future, I love watching them grow. I know my Mum has felt this and I know she doesn't yearn for those days anymore, because she gets these days with her grown up kids and her grandbabies! I just trying to enjoy the journey without worrying about what I will miss, rather, what I have to look forward to x

When you spoke of your freedoms... it made me cry. I have a son who’s a Marine. He went to Afghanistan within months of graduating high school. I was so proud yet so scared for them. He saw and went through so much. He was back for his second deployment before 21. My momma heart hurt deeply. People don’t realize that these are our babies fighting for everyone’s freedoms. Both of my grandpa’s served in WW11. My great uncles and an uncle served as well. I thank God for these men and women who so valiantly are willing to lay down their own lives for all of us. We owe them our gratitude. Thanks for sharing ❤️

I saw the poem posted on IG when you posted it. My kids are grown, but I still cried. I will tell you patent guilt is a real thing. I still have regrets of parenting mistakes. My biggest mistake was not hugging and kissing my son a second time. My friend and I were leaving his house after a party, we had done our good-bye hug. My friend asked if I wanted to hug him again, we both said we’re good, we just said bye. He passed away in his sleep that night. That was my last hug. I should have taken a second hug. Do this poem hit me hard. Give yourself grace. You’re both going a beautiful job raising your kids so lovingly. Gemma is doing amazing! Going down the slide and flipping right to her back. And then getting to the side of the pool. I was so impressed! Love watching your family. Thank you for sharing.

His response was...Mom...please do not feel bad...I always knew I was loved and if I needed you...you would be there for me. I am so grateful we were able to have that conversation. This is so true. I am a mom of 7 kids. 20 years old down to 1 year old. My oldest just got married last month, my second oldest graduated last night. I have really been looking and thinking about this and where time has gone. It is bittersweet and sad for me. I still have younger ones to raise but it goes so fast. We definitely have to live in the moments, enjoy them, soak them up because they will and do grow up. One thing I will say with my older kids is watching them become amazing young adults has made me so proud...watching them go on their journeys is exciting.

That poem really got to me. It reminded me of Kelsey. A little girl I let live with me from age six to 14 when she went back to live with her mom. That was last time I saw her alive. Because a month after she went back to her moms she was killed. So always hug your kids a little longer. Even though she wasn’t mine I treated her as she was mine and always say she was my daughter. That love never goes away.

You're such a compassionate father Darik just like Cara. It shows how you love your little Royal. He grows so fast. Someday he will take care of you. I can't wait to see that soon. 🤗

Mine three are grown with their own children. You do miss those moments when they were babies, but there is so much more to gain by them growing up.

I'm a mother of a son about to enter his senior year of high school.....so true. He's 6'1 (I'm 5'2). I miss ALL of it. But think about all the other new things you get to have with them during the different phases of their lives. Now I can't wait to get home, get my foot stool and give him a huge hug. Lol....sorry if I don't laugh, I'll cry.

My youngest graduated high school last week and that story still made me cry. I really miss all of the special times with my babies. They grow up way too fast.

This touched my soul. I’m the 3rd out of 8 kids(no twins no triplets lol all came out alone) and the first 6 of us are all 1 yr apart, then there’s a 2 yr gap in between the 6th and the 7th and 1yr in between 7th and 8th. And growing up, our parents were so hard on us and they absolutely did not show any compassion and that made me fear ever having a big family. But your hearts and your minds show that it is possible. Please, they’re just learning and trying to understand, instead of just telling them no, further explain why it’s wrong until they one day get it, they will not understand right away and that’s okay, their brains are growing, they’re growing, they’re going through this journey just like you guys, as long as you be easy on them so will they be easy on you 💙💙💙💙 much love, God bless you guys and may god give you all the patience that you need and may he bless all 8 of you 💙💙💙💙

I'm new to your channel, but you already made me feel so connected to you guys. I can't not cry. I hate how quickly my kids grow. My youngest is now 4 and I'm holding onto every little thing that could be the last time. ❤

You guys are so blessed. Having 5 babies, all gorgeous and well taking care of. Your faith will let you survive every step of your children development. I had three and enjoyed each moment we had together when they were children. I am a empty nester and yes I wish I could here their laughter in the house, even their fights, I miss them yelling mom at the same time. Precious times. However the relationship thank God never end between parents and children. Now we talk about their jobs, how their doing, their success, or their worries. I’m a proud mom.

Remember each stage or phase in life has beauty to it. Once they go to school time really flies. Seems like yesterday my son wS in first grade and now he is going to HS next fall.
