Personally, I just think each brand of training pant is different in its own way. The weight variable is different on some, and it depends on which one you're buying and what's your preference. Here's where each different brand of training pant stacks: Huggies Pull-Ups: 16-34 lbs. Pampers Easy Ups: 16-34 lbs. Target's Up and Up: Up to 34 lbs. Honest Co. brand: Up to 34 lbs. Hello Bello: 18-34 lbs. Fisher-Price (Which I didn't know something like that existed): 20-34 lbs. Rascal & Friends: 20-34 lbs Seventh Generation: Up to 34 lbs. I kind of get why you think it may be small around your daughter to wear, but...not sure if you tried this method, but have you considered adjusting the sides of the training pant just to make it feel comfortable around her waist? I kind of ask because it'd be more suitable this way than rather having to spend more money to upgrade to the bigger size training pants.
Parents choice training pants has just changed to the non-velcro sides. my nearly 5 year old twin boys wear the 3t-4t size with no problem and weigh 30lbs and 33lbs respectively. Their same aged female cousin wears size 7/8 girls.
