Any parent who has a talented child will do what they can to protect their child but when dealing with someone who promises to give their child that chance, you feel this might be their only chance to ever make it. R Kelly knew this and preyed on them and their daughter, he would sneak her away and cut off their connection but their parents never gave up. The law is the problem here too! If someone says a child is in danger, there should be no law to stop a police officer from entering a property!! It could be a life or death situation! Sometimes it helps to exaggerate a situation for the police to take action! To the point where maybe you say you saw your daughter screaming for help and heard a gun shot? Bet the police would have gone in their like lightening!! The legal system needs to try much harder to protect vulnerable people, especially if someone is concerned for their safety! A well being check up should mean exactly that! A solicitor/officer etc should enter the property no matter what with at least one of the concerned people and have a meeting with that individual in a safe place.
