Parents of dismissed FAMU Bowlers Speak Out 

Thank you Vaughn for allowing the parents to express their experiences. I saw the Shamoria's interview with Roland and was very upset and emotional as I watched 😪😡 I'm even more infuriated as I listened to the parents!! My heart goes out to everyone impacted by this situation! Their has to be accountability on FAMU'S part and it needs to happen sooner than later. I'm a FAMU ALUM and this unethical behavior and lack of leadership cannot be accepted or tolerated...Our Mother FAMU favorable reputation is being compromised to say the least..FAMU I LOVE THEE🧡💚 FOREVER

Thank you for giving the parents a voice on this situation. Very disheartening. Lord knows I love my university, but this right here is absolutely awful. Sending 100% support for the young ladies for a swift and just resolution. Do better, FAMU AD and President Larry.

If the Athletic Dept. Doesn't do something immediately, the students should take legal action.

Capri?? You mean Coach Howard?? Herein lies the problem. Coach wasn’t respected from day one being only a few yrs older than the girls. Be interesting when the other side is told. There are receipts.

Wow this is shameful especially if you have seen the email the young lady allegedly sent the coach….Y’all should be very careful with things the person who alerted Roland reports. Roland did the same thing when BCU had their issue with a coach and what came about? Nothing came about once he got the views. Sadly it will be the same here….Things like this should be handled in house and not for the entire nation to see...SMH

I didn't know athletes could tell the coach they're not coming to practice. Walk out of practice and still have scholarships.

Did we attempt to present the other side or can you at least ask questions that you believe the other side would ask? One minute they say they quit and the next minute their scholarships were not taken!?!? If you quit your job, your boss doesn’t have to fire you. If you don’t have the money to pay your bills, you can’t quit.

It really sucks that a foreign black lady and a Caucasian lady make complaints about the HBCU. Your kids should be able to handle themselves & speak for themselves!

This was a joke the parents were jokes you got young Caucasian coaches nobody says nothing you got these two women trying to get paid wanting to get the coach fire trying to give a bad name to the school and then wanted to get money from the school this is not high school

So disappointed in this news from my alma mater. Professionalism and respect are free! This is not what Rattlers do.

What is the age of the head bowling coach? When are children considered to be adults?

This is a shame to FAMUs great legacy. Dr. Robinson and AD Sykes need to answer for this debacle.

I watched the interview on Roland Martin Unfiltered. This Coach does not have the sportsman like intelligence to manage a team. She needs more training. I hope this gets fixed. Where is the College President on this?

This is sad, and my prayers are going out to the students and families affected. All HBCU's need to make sure all students are aware of the chain of command and have advocates. FAMU aint the only school with this issue. This should not be happening, and students shouldn't have to turn to social media for help! We gotta get our safe spaces in order for our students. Communication is everything ❤

Why has FAMU administration not officially addressed this issue. This is a very bad look. The coach appears to lack leadership, maturity, insensitivity, and professionalism. The release written by the AD is vague, incomplete, and poorly written. It appears the AD made a bad decision in hiring this young, inexperienced bowling coach and is trying to stand by it at the expense of the students and the university. They are the cancer, not the students.

I’m not surprised…..this is HBCU sports! I’m a HBCU grad and have coached at an HBCU

This Coach for Bowling needs to be FIRED and look into the President of the College...How do you put Grades and Test in front of Sports to help students Black White or Brown . She the Coach and the President need to go NOW immediately
