That's easier said than done. who actually wants to sue their family especially their immediate family. I don't know if i would even have the strength to do that to mine.
True "Family is everything right? Let me take the same loan in your name, you seem to be really attached to it, you enjoy it". Also, I thought the parents cried that they couldn't pay it off, times were hard, end of the world is coming. Gets sued, suddenly has the money.
They keep pushing it cuz you keep waiting, hoping they'll "eventually" get it. Yes, you're getting it done, but you've waited so damn long that they really believed you'd be generous
Anytime someone owes you money and people take their side, send the people a message about some payment plan (About 10% of the cost per month) and thank them for keeping the peace
"Family comes first? Then you are willing to take out a loan to pay me back, and you deal with the financial fallout? After all, family comes first, and it is just $80k, it isn't a big deal, so you can handle it no problem right?"
OP should've never given these losers so many chances. He should just go straight to calling the cops and file the lawsuit IMMEDIATELY. Who cares if the family "suffers" theu chose to ruin one of their own by committing identity theft.
The parents are fillibestering him. They never intend to do anything. Mom will cry crocodile tears, dad will tell OP off, and brother will remain an idiot.
When I was sixteen, my parents taught me how to handle my banking matters. They warned me not to share my personal details with anyone/organisation. Asked me to read about phishing, internet scamming and never sign any documents without reading it and double check all details😁 It was scary to be an adult! That was five years ago.
I did the same with my kids, and I showed them examples of phishing that I had saved (some of them are quite realistic). I also stressed multiple times that legit people and organizations will never call you for info. At most they will tell you to go to their public website to call THEM. Then I had the kids watch a few IRS scammers on RU-vid. Very entertaining.
As an ex bank manager, I find it weird and utterly stupid for a bank to give loan in third party's name. This is fraud on both the applicant and bank. What a BS story trying to make money in internet. Con artists. Puji Tuhan👍😘💜😎 Praise God👍😘💜😎
Thank you! Proves you are in the minuscule minority of less than 1% that actually has functional brain cells. The rest here don't seem to have the ability to rationally put together two sane thoughts or identify BS even when it's sitting on their nose.
AI is so inconsistent that it's become a sh*tty joke. Figures shift from 80K to 50K without any explanation. Protagonist stays in his own appartment but suddenly he is living in parent's house where he confronts brother. It's ok to take help from AI to write stories. But at least some diligence should be shown towards editing and cross checking for stupidities. The blame really lies with the channel/creator for taking their audience for granted.
Hard to believe the brother called owning up to the mistake. But OP should have just taken legal action in the beginning. The parents tore the family apart by using him and not even being sorry about it. Just because they raised him doesn't mean they are immune to the consequences. Any relatives that say let it go should be told when they take a loan in their name then they can let it go. This "family is everything" excuse is nothing more than gaslighting. Paying in installments is also unreliable. If the dad wants to be angry with someone all he has to do is look in the mirror.
Honestly if I’m Evan I wouldn’t care too. He didn’t ask for the money nor did he know where it came from? Why would he have to pay it back? Parents fumbled the bag not him🤷🏿♂️…yeah he’s probably a shitty brother, son & person but if your parents randomly give you that much cash & now you’re expected to pay it back is just ridiculous.
Your relationship with your parents is going to be ruined no matter what because if you had a bust your behind to pay off that money you would have ended up resenting them anyway
I listen to these stories, and think why the hell do you pay taxes for the police when no one ever uses them. And then maybe I'm stupid but wouldn't you go to the bank ? They have to investigate fraud and silly idea here have access to all the information regarding your bank account and where the money goes. don't banks check things when large amounts of money is asked for or just gives it away !!! Doesn't banks check when large amounts of money goes into accounts due to money laundering????
I was also surprised that he didn't go to the bank. But from what I understood, the loan was based on invoices that were sent to them as part of a student loan, and 200k is not exactly large money for the bank, so they didn't look deeply into it.
@@seldogrif9732I don’t know man once the bank closed my account because I put $500 into it in one go. It was a birthday gift from my uncle and so it took a while to prove to the bank that it was real money or whatever. It was just an odd situation. But I guess some banks can get into moods too lol.
You may have one the case and saved your self respect but this is a lose-lose situation. Hopefully in yrs to come it'll be a win, but at the moment neither wins cause there's no peace or family get togethers without a lot stress and most likely negative drama.
get a contract with this payment plan down in writing and get it notarised. just because they're your family does not mean they won't renege on what they agreed to do. be smart doofus. even a fellow law student would. have been able to tell you that. you don't need a lawyer for that
Dude, weak, what's wrong with you? Stop simping. Stop talking to them. Go see a lawyer asap. File a police report. The parents are frauds. You are responsible for the gaslighting that followed. OP, you are tiresome.
I guess that this is a good example for schools to start teaching students about adulting, like finances, loans, debts, taxes and the like (even though this story is probably fake, like the others on this channel). ETA: Ugh. This story is fucking annoying. Right now I’m at the part where the narrator confronts his parents FOR THE THIRD TIME!
You've àlready lost your family long before the loan was taken out. You have to do whats best for you, an I'm sorry but they really don't care about you amilt isn't always blood make a new family an move on.
Anybody that just "let it go" or "keep the peace" are absolutely idiots. From every stories I read, I really don't think any ops has a backbone. Every single op in every stories are spineless doormats.
