Mr. Woo, I am long past my school years, now a retired and blessed grandmother of 4, but I want you to know how incredible I think you are for sharing you teachings with the world. A mind, particularly a young one, is truly a terrible thing to waste and every child deserves the chance to learn. It does not matter if one student is quicker than the other when absorbing information, what matters is that ALL our children have the same right to it! God bless, a Canadian fan!
I watched several videos on Pareto charts before I found yours, and yours was the first one I understood (and enjoyed). Then I realised your name is on the spine of a book I have sitting on my bookshelf (Woo's Wonderful World of Maths) that I am now more motivated to read. Many thanks!
I am 59 years old and looking at data analytics for work. I used to think I was bad at maths, but the fact is that people learn at different speeds and teaching quality varies massively. This is my go to for maths I just don't get. I really wish that I had had Eddie Woo as my maths teacher.......(and the internet wouldnt have hurt to explain the bits my teachers couldn't convey, or keep me interested in as well). I think that my career direction might have been a little different, as my lack of maths held me back somewhat. This guy is a gem of lucidity and clarity and makes maths both relevant and fun. Half the issue is why we need to learn this stuff for real life usage and he sells it and is genuinely excited by it. Brilliant.
In India, we have thoughts of the day on the same blackboard on which teachers are teaching. Many teachers and students are so passionate about this that they bring every day nice thoughts or quotes for the entire class.
How about that! I really appreciate your positive energy in sharing your knowledge. I wish all teachers can transmit your kind of positive energy in teaching maths. Thanks.
What is the need for the 2nd graph?? Histogram is showing clearly that the data is positively skewed, even if you draw a frequency polygon it will show the same.
