PDM has some truly beautiful fragrances but i won’t pay the “pink tax” associated with female fragrances. Delina and Oriana costs almost $100 more than Layton and Herod. It’s incredibly disrespectful to their female customer base. Can you talk more about price discrepancies in the fragrance industry?

@@cristinaa4142 because of the myriad of differences between the two sexes, one of the qualities is also agreeability. Men are less agreeable than women. Hence the pink tax. Men would just not pay if it were too expensive and although you ladies are complaining here, im guessing there are plenty out there who are willing to pay the exorbitant price, hence why they charge more. Don't forget women also constitute approx 70-80% of the market, hence thats where companies tend to make their money.

yikes, didn't know they charged more for female fragrances. In my view, they also put more effort into the male fragrances and there is a greater selection there to choose from. I'm yet to find a Pdm fragrance I've liked enough to own.

Well I do now! And that bottle 🤩 I will have to try and find a sample. I have Safanad, Delina and Cassili, the latter being my favourite of those three.

I think it’s too similar to Love don’t be Shy it’s LDBS without the sharp neroli, and i quite like that ,on my skin anyway, it was better projecting and lasted longer than LDBS, it smells younger than their other fragrances for sure! Oh and also it dries a little more powdery which I don’t mind, but like you said it wasn’t a love 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just tried it on for preview today at Nordstrom in Vancouver. I am so disappointed. I find it boring and it dried down to its base very quickly. It is pretty in the opening. I find the drydown very bland. It didn't project and it has only been on my skin for one hour now and I barely smell it. Thank you for bringing up the price difference.

Saw this one in a declutter thumbnail so I thought I should see your initial thoughts and I couldn’t agree more with everything you said! I will say Oriana is moving from a like to a love for me, which I don’t typically gravitate towards these types of scents until recently. Nice review!

Hi. Thanks for this! Super in-depth and informative. I have quite a few of Nahalie Lorson's creations, and I know what you mean by the fact that some of them are understated. They can't all be "bangers" I guess. I never know which side the cards come up on either!!! AAAaaaarrrrggghhhh! (Sending love...)

Sounds pretty and I’d probably enjoy it, but I’ll wait until I happen to be in the area. Thanks for pointing out the similarities to other perfumes or notes in other scents. Great video! Loving the wave I. Your hair today… so chill and be achy. You look beautiful. This fragrance sounds good but when things are really expensive… I want them to be really enthralling. Also, if PDM is charging more for feminine fragrances - that’s whack! ☺️✌🏽🥳♥️

I still think it’s odd that I had to pay £230 for a bottle of 75ml Delina Exclusif for my gf when she paid a similar price for a 125ml of Carlisle for me

Oh my gosh, I didn’t realize PDM charges more for female marketed fragrances. That’s super frustrating. I was really looking forward to trying Oriana but may skip it. There are multiple other fragrances I can purchase for half the price. Thank you for your honest review!!

As a woman, it is extremely frustrating to pay the pink tax on basically every single product. Although, since this is a difference of $100 between the men and women’s perfume, I would argue this is far, far more than just a “tax”. Since you are more knowledgeable about various fragrances and companies, it would be really interesting to watch a video about the types of financial differences women face within the fragrance industry. But most of all, it’s such an important conversation to have with your viewers who really do listen to your advice/opinions. Just my thought.

Just got it today…at first it gives remanence of love don’t be shy but as it started drying down it reminded me of something else which I wasn’t sure of until it got me that it smells so much like musk therapy and Mont Blanc signature

That’s one of the things that was making me a little bit nervous I feel like for the price of PDM we are expecting a complete love not just a like. I definitely would have to wait to see if it becomes available here in Canada to smell it because I don’t think I can blind buy it at that price 🤔🤔

I think I snorted with delight 🐖 when this review's thumbnail popped up in IG feed :))) Oriana won't be available until October here in DK, so I had to participate in splitting the bottle from France. I mean... this color, bottle, and notes - so bad it's good! Borderline kitschy - I must try it. I never knew PdM have a pink tax - HOW DARE THEY?! (*screams in Greta Thurnberg-ish*). I think I'll text their official IG to see what explanation they have.

Got it 30% off and it arrived today. I really like it. Its very similar to This is her by Zadic&Voltaire. But Oriana is more creamy and better quality. This is her is sharper and stronger. I have Sintra, and i think the two is very different. I heard someone compared them. This is more descreet and for everyday.

I always question expensive fragrances with berry notes. It takes a Master to make a berry note smell expensive and luxurious.
