I'm a Parisian, I even have my own channel about Paris, but I have to say this video made me learn about many very interesting places I didn't know anything about. I'll definitely go for a pastrami sandwich at Janet today!
You make the best food videos and your explanation is the best among all the other youtubers, you give the name and show what you eat they are afordable. I will be going to London, Amsterdam and Paris in 2024 April and May thank you for all these food videos as a couple.
I discovered an incredible Indian restaurant located in Asnières-sur-Seine. This restaurant ´Le Kaveri’ is the pinnacle of haute cuisine and authentic Indian cuisine in this city. Each dish is a culinary masterpiece, offering an exquisite and authentic experience of the flavors of India. My experience here was simply wonderful, and I highly recommend treating yourself to this culinary gem-you’ll love it!❤️
Of course you can find great food in Paris (and other places), but don't forget that, like all overly touristic places worldwide, Paris is a scammers' paradise, and that unfortunately includes some restaurants that don't hesitate to cheat and serve bland pre-prepared industrial food as French traditional cuisine. Before eating out in Paris, I suggest you check comments and recommendations on line, and generally avoid "eateries" close to the main touristic spots.
The first thing I do when I go somewhere is look for local food! Thanks for the recommendation! This will take up an especially important part of my trip!
Your mouthwatering journey through Parisian cuisine is pure delight! 🥐 The raspberry croissants, charcuterie boards, and cozy cafes make me feel like I'm right there experiencing the culinary magic. 🍲🥖 Thanks for sharing these hidden gems and classic favorites!
Just visited Paris and no doubt La Jacobine was my favourite restaurant and Du Pain et des Idees was my favourite bakery! Delighted to see these places being recommended by you in this video (although I did not watch this video before my trip)! :)
tbh.. this is my firt vid i am watching on yr channel and let me tell you.. like this is the content i crave to see and create. like its really hard to see a food vlog with such diary and and home feeling... like do u get it? This vid feels like a virtual diary.. of u gys.. trust me i am inspired like it feels so nice to see this vid..
GREAT video...thank you- you guys are such great presentors! We're going in a few weeks and can't wait to try the places you recommended! MERCI BEAUCOUP!
You can pretty much do walk-ins in all the restaurants we went to it's just a matter of waiting in line as some of them were quite busy. But if you really wanna make sure you don't wait too long making a reservation is the way to go!
We passed it a couple of days beforehand and went into the restaurant to make a reservation. You can also call them which seems to be the main way to make a reservation there!
I guess you'd have to ask a Parisian about that 😅 I wouldn't say they're super touristy tho other than Bouillon and maybe Laduree but they are all popular restaurants
Just discovered your channel as I am planning my trip to London/Paris. Your content, pacing, and edits are on point! Keep at it, your channel will grow.
Hello guys! If you don’t mind me asking when was this filmed? I’m going to Europe for a few months soon and you all wearing jackets in August is scaring me 😭
Merde! If this is not the Definitive List, Then I'm a wittle scared 'cause you cover both Classics & Retros. Totally Awesome work. (A #$&*@% Labor of Love).
Thank you!!! Maybe if we spent another few weeks in Paris we could make a definitive one but there's just so many awesome places in Paris that we didn't go to!
Hello, question, which is the best crossaint for you guys? Also, which macarons is number 1? Thank you. Subscribed since your Greece vlog. ❤ Loved the Lukumedes 👌
Out of the 3 we tried the one from Tout Autour du Pain was our favourite. And we liked Laduree more than Pierre Herme. Thanks for the ongoing support!!! 😇😇😇
Loved a lot of your recommendations but I'm sorry after checking out Bouillon Pigalle I do not understand the hype. The prices are unreal (cheap) but they seem about right for the level of food. travelers should spend their precious time elsewhere. This spot is not worth the wait. I would compare it to very cheap diner food in the states. It might hit the spot if you're already drunk but you'll probably regret it in the morning.
As someone who has lived in Paris, I’m not sure why you’d recommend any of those places to eat- apart from where you got pastries, which are genuinely considered to be excellent, but are oftentimes overrun by tourists, those restaurants are all tourist traps now. I see you were in Pigalle, which is where I used to live, but you didn’t go to any of the great restaurants/bars/cafes.
@@locavore_eats, I have many suggestions of course. For example, since you seemed to like Pigalle, if you’re staying in that neighborhood, you have to go to my favourite bistro, Le Bon Georges. There are a few other bistros that are worth checking out depending on what part of the city you want. Also, there are many fine dining restaurants of course, but a good trick is to go at lunch when they are generally cheaper- I have a list of about 15 one-star restaurants where you can have a three or four course lunch for €40 or less (not including aperitif or wine of course) for example. Just write the next time you are going to be back.
@@LeMagnifiqueDoubleAgent-cj4zo going with my wife to paris for our 10 year wedding anniversary. would love to get your recommendations. nothing I hate more than wasting good money on bad or mediocre food.
@@michaelnesch6010, Sure, I would say there are two key things to know about maximizing your food budget as I alluded to in my previous comment- one is to find good bistros, which are not necessarily cheap, but cheaper than many restaurants and provide a generally authentic experience as well as to do any fine dining at lunch unless you want to explicitly go for dinner. Here are a few of my favourites in each of those categories: Bistros 1. Le Bon Georges 2. Les Arlots 3. Café des Ministères 4. Bistrot Paul Bert Also, Bistro Flaubert, which is more of a restaurant was excellent the last time I ate there. The chef recently opened a new place for the same restaurant group and when I ate there in Feb he said it’s still good. There is also Bouillon Le Petite Pharamond, which isn’t so much a bouillon in my opinion. The food isn’t as good as the four bistros that I recommended, but it’s solid and the atmosphere is beautiful. Michelin Starred Restaurants with Deals 1. Virtus 2. Auguste 3. Contraste 4. Substance 5. Accents Table Bourse 6. Granite These are six good lunch options, as they offer three or four course tasting menus at lunch (at least as of the last time I visited, which is in some cases a year ago) for €40-50 per person (not including aperitif or wine of course). Just double check that these offers are still valid before you go there so you don’t get any surprises because some of them can be moderately expensive otherwise. Fancy, but Shouldn’t Break the Bank 1. ASPIC- more in line with the normal cost of the previous six, but I think they’re only open for dinner so don’t have a lunch deal 2. Frenchie- more casual, but the original has a star, they have another location in Pigalle connected to the hotel Le Grande Pigalle, which is a nice and decently priced place to stay if you’re looking for a hotel, and a wine bar across the street from the original 3. Septime- casual restaurant with serious food where you could go for a lower priced lunch and all out for dinner; Septime La Cave is their renowned wine bar 4. Hémicycle- more elegant than the other three; opened by the former chef of Le Bistrot Flaubert a few months ago; it will be awarded a star when the new guide for Paris comes out Go All Out 1. Le Clarence- they have lunch service so you could do it a bit cheaper that way, but still not cheap; the space is beautiful 2. L’Oiseau Blanc- great food and great view of the Eiffel Tower; rooftop bar is also nice, but go early because it’s first come first serve unless you’re staying at The Peninsula 3. Le Jules Verne- inside the Eiffel Tower; awarded their second star in the last Michelin Guide 4. L’Epicure- another fine dinning experience in a stunning space 5. Le Meurice- famed Chef Alaine Ducasse’s flagship in a stunning space in The Dorchester 6. Plénitude- probably the best restaurant in Paris right now in the ultra sleek Hôtel Cheval Blanc; shot straight to three stars (I think the only the second restaurant to ever do that) in their first evaluation 7. La Tour d’Argent- not as upscale or refined food as the other six, but solid and you get a view of the recently renovated Notre Dame Cathedral; they have one of the most important and largest wine cellars in Europe, which you can tour even if you don’t dine with them for a fee I’m not sure when you’ll be in Paris, but you’ll need to make reservations for all these places (except for Le Pharamond) at least three to four weeks in advance and even longer if you’ll be there in high season. If I get a chance, I’ll send you some recommendations for bars too. Enjoy
NEVER IN YOUR LIFE come to bouillon pigalle, ist the wordt reconendation ever. You will loose a noon of your trip, it is good but you will have to soend 2-3 hours of your day in that.
