I'll never understand why this didn't become a bigger hit or why she didn't become a pop star. Her debut album is a classic and has tons of amazing pop songs, and she can sing.
Music industry is so rigged ,but if she was owned by the industry (they take 40 to 50% of every thing you do) this song would sit at #1 for a record setting length of time and won at LEAST 2 grammys
Paris has always been my guilty pleasure. I’m a 59 year old grandma who loves her music, her perfumes, her tv shows ( even watched her cooking and loved every minute) now eagerly awaiting the arrival of her book 👌🏻
- When I gave birth to my first daughter it was in 2006 and this song was playing on the radio - at that point I'd been in labour in the hospital for around 48 hours and the radio had been on all that time, playing this song 1 or 2 times each hour, I'm not exaggerating, it was a smash here in Denmark :D I was getting to be a bit tired of this song... sorry. Back then I remember thinking, while my tiny daughter was in my arms - and the song was playing again, because it was in the middle of the night, on the 4th of july and the DJ probably thought ''why tf not?!'' - ''Great, this is the song I'm going to remember forever, being a part of this moment'' not without snark ... Now I still think the same, but the snark is gone, I love this song and the memories it brings of my first moments, being a mom ♥ for me, this song is a classic!
I can't believe I found this song again I haven't heard it since I was in high school pretty much when it released in 2006. I'm 33 yrs old now...one of my favourite songs of hers.
One of the most underrated songs of all time. Paris could made a generic dance song and put some generic lyrics, but she decided to bring us this reggae-pop ballad and the lyrics are waaay better than a lot of pop songs nowadays. Tiktok is making justice for this one.
@@meh6731 Legal controversy. In June 2007, the copyright holders of the 1970 song "Kingston Town", Sparta Florida Music Group, started legal action against Hilton and Warner Chappell Music for plagiarism due to alleged similarities between "Stars Are Blind" and "Kingston Town".
I love this woman so much. Just watched her This Is Paris documentary again for about the 3rd time now. She’s such a bright woman and people don’t get to see that often. Anyone who knows her knows how intelligent she is tho. She’s a deep thinker and has a great way of understanding people, the public, and what we want and has a great perspective on herself and what others think of her. Anyway.. eternally beautifull. Really hasn’t changed at all over the years. If anything she’s more beautiful today.
What a timeless classic 😢 - makes me got teary eyes. Memories are rushing in... considering that those times were simpler than what we have currently. She embodies the glorious mid-2000s that we once had. What a strong girl she is 💓
I feel bad saying I’m one of the people who looked at her like an air head before I watched her documentary. She’s actually a super intelligent, intellectual human being. She’s very smart and so down to earth. She’s the complete opposite of the persona she felt she always had to hide in through the years, which in hearing her story I can understand why. I felt sad for her after watching it, and understood her so much more. I have an immense amount of respect for this woman.
she is a hotel heir, and her sister marries into the rothschild family. no, i dont thik shes stupid, but she's not sophisticated, a business woman and socilite, she translates american culture.
So adorable - always loved the tropical 🏝️ breezy island feel of this song 🥰 love Paris she’s adorable and loved her book - it made me bawl and laugh it’s amazing and a must read 😘
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS SONG IS ALREADY 17 YEARS OLD, IT WAS SO UNDERVALUED IN ITS TIME AND IT'S SO SPECTACULAR, THE SOFT VOICE OF PARIS ARRANGEMENT, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT, WE LOVE YOU PARIS
Idk why but having this music video in black and white makes it timeless. Like clearly it’s a summer song from the 2000s. But the black and white makes it feel like it could’ve come out yesterday. Genius !
I remember when this song came out and always hoped she'd get more musical publicity than she got. I think she's amazing and has a lot to say through her songs. ❤️

I literally bought this song for a ringtone AND a ring back tone back in the day! I freaking LOVED the early 2000's! Best time ever to be alive and young!! ❤
I remember this song showing up in the jukebox at my local bowling alley and I played it and everyone started rolling their eyes is disbelief haha 14 year old me was loving it and dancing 😂
She became a legendary one hit wonder like Toni Basil. Love this song! Love Paris for singing it! She did an amazing job. She made a great musical classic to be proud of forever
Me encanta la canción, desde que la escuché por primera vez hace muchos años aun la sigo escuchando cada vez que Tengo la oportunidad. Paris muy bella y sensual como siempre
I just heard this song for the first time in my life it’s crazy. When I was a little kid I didn’t know that she was really making songs but she actually did and this song is much better than most of what I hear on the radio. I appreciate you blessing us with this song Paris, hope you’re doing well (:
I love how this song actually matches her personality. It is crazy how she keeps getting prettier and prettier as she ages. She truly is a bright star. 💕 May she continue blessing us with her existence.
This was the song of my summer as a 14 year old, and probably one of the last music videos I remember actually watching on TV. I can't say why it stuck with me so strongly but it puts me into the mindset of late night AIM chats and that humid vibe after a thunderstorm settles down. This *was* 2000s pop in some way, and I love it- lowbrow in the classiest and most addictive style.
