Thanks Ruth that's the best kind of compliment I could get! I always found history rather boring, but when you're there surrounded by the details and the characters whirling through your imagination things get exciting! I'm glad I can share these moments with you.

I was here last year totally alone, i was completely by myself for hours. The best experience ever. I went through petit trianon alone, so lucky

I went in Dec 2019 and had the same experience. It was incredible. We got back next summer but it will be more like the video, bummer.

Loved This ! I was able to visit Versailles ,mid-July '22 . Friggen H O T time to visit. We toured lots pf the Palace that the heat cut our outdoor ventures short and We miissed most of the Gardens and outlying structures. This made Me feel like I was in that place, Merci.

I simply can't believe that I'm living for 11+yrs no more than 20-25km from Versailles and never even heard of this hamlet.... and never having visited it. Thank you so much for this extraordinary and quite wonderful trip through history and beauty of Marie Antoinette's place!

You’re very welcome - I love when I can help people discover some extra magic, and sometimes the best stuff is right under our noses and we don’t realize it! I’m sure you’ll be heading over there to see it for yourself, and when you do I hope you have a wonderful time. While I was researching this video I realized how lovely the town of Versailles is, at least the area in proximity to the chateau. I look forward to going back just to walk the streets and enjoy all that old architecture!

Just subscribed! We are going to Paris and Loire Valley in September/October. Someone on the travel forum I use sent me this link. You do such a nice job of combining information, contemplation, visual details, and humor., without too many words! I am a visual artist and tend to hone in on visual details, of course, so I appreciate your style! Wish I had nine lives so as to be able to enjoy ALL of your Paris explorations....thank you for your creative spirit and vision!

At 14 your still a child. It was the stress of her environment that made her "escape" if you will and buy clothes, hang at the farm, retreat to her own apartment, and keep her feeling untethered.
