Great episode.. The Rosetta Stone ; “The Rosetta Stone is a granodiorite stele, found in 1799, inscribed with three versions of a decree issued at Memphis, Egypt, in 196 BC during the Ptolemaic dynasty on behalf of King Ptolemy V. The top and middle texts are in Ancient Egyptian using hieroglyphic script and demotic scripts, respectively, while the bottom is in Ancient Greek. As the decree has only minor differences between the three versions, the Rosetta Stone proved to be the key to deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphs, thereby opening a window into ancient Egyptian history.” It was through the Ancient Hellenic language, that provided the way/ knowledge in order to desirer the Egyptian hieroglyphs. Just to clarify and to be accurate about the Rosetta Stone for your viewers not to have the incorrect facts. “ Aramaic (Arāmāyā; square script אַרָמָיָא, Classical Syriac: ܐܪܡܝܐ‎) is a language or group of languages belonging to the Semitic subfamily of the Afroasiatic language family. More specifically, it is part of the Northwest Semitic group, which also includes the Canaanite languages such as Hebrew and Phoenician. “ Another FYI. The mother language where Hebrew ,and Arabic have their roots. In Jesus Christ time , the Jews spoke full fledge HEBREW ( was fully developed during the time of Jesus Christ). Latin and of course Hellenic language in that part of the world were the main languages of the Roman Empire But great episode though.
