@@Katsnacks In 2023, no one cares. It’s not on current generations to deconstruct an incredibly successful system of societies in an attempt to appease those who are 2,000 years behind. Idgaf about being called racist. It’s a badge of honor at this point. 🤣🤡
The timing was right for me. I went there in September of 1979 from a tour the recreation center sponsored while stationed at RAF Upper Heyford England. Loved crossing the English channel and riding the train from Bologne into Paris.
I was in Paris in November of 2023. It is still the worlds most beautiful city. I was fortunate enough to be staying in Montparnasse, which made the city look very very functional and just so great. I am contemplating immigrating there. Great Place. Happy People. Healthy, confident and independent little kids.
I visited 3 weeks ago (December 2023). I cannot say that it’s THAT much polluted as described. Parisians simply haven’t seen how some of the other capitals look like.. But it’s great that they demand to raise the bar! Btw, ALL trash that I’ve seen was only/mostly from tourists. And I’m not trying to insult anyone but Asians were littering the most! There was an Asian family of 4 approaching Arc De Triomphe in front of me and they were unwrapping some candies/chocolates and literally walking and throwing it on the ground!!! Who does that?!??!? Also in all cafes/restaurants/bench areas under them there was the most trash compared to other tables/benches. And yeah, regarding trees and bushes - Paris is literally bold😢 I was feeling so sorry for those dogs being walked on those streets and knowing nothing but concrete😢
Having studied in Paris for three years, I can attest that the city had been dirty and congested in 2008. It’s not a new problem. Of the seven countries and ten cities I lived in, the only place worse than Paris, was New York City. I recently visited San Francisco though, and there are far worse places than Paris.
New York and Paris were both dirty in many areas in the mid 70's and early 80's when I first visited. They still are in different ways. Nothing new in cities being dirty.
Didn’t France help colonize most of the world, so what natives are you gonna have left? I love your racist thinking. But then again, you’re not really thinking you’re just being racist.
I was in Paris in 2019, expecting a beautiful and romantic city but ended up disappointed. The metro station stinks smells and dirtiest. The park around the Eifel Tower has a lot of trash, and so many thieves (pickpockets) that make me feel unsafe as a solo traveler, For 3 of 5 days of my stay there I’ve been encountered with demonstration. At least I manage to get so many good photos because the architecture of Paris is beautiful.
I visited Paris in the 60s it was a dump then .Been a few times since my last being in the late 90s. Never understood the attraction. Each to their own.
If you can't find something you like in Paris you must be the pickiest tourist ever! So much to see and do, unless you have no interest in food, architecture, art or history etc...but then why travel at all in this case ...
Uh there’s a certain demographic there that’s having a direct effect on Paris’ beauty. If I wanted to vacation in Lagos, Nigeria I would have booked a trip there
It’s been turned into a third world country because of immigration. DEI does not make countries better especially when many of the immigrants refuse to acclimate to the customs and culture of their host country.
Americans also forget that the center of the city is for tourists( not my words but theirs) and everbody plans retire n smaller gorgeous cities( Toulose, Barcelona south, Girona or Mediterranean gorgeous islands Corsica, Sardinia Majorca... gorgeous pla es, l highly recommended, worth a visit
Then you don't know Paris, a city of architectural beauty and elegance like no other. St Petersburg was built on the model of Paris, but is no match for it. Venice is magnificent, but lacks the harmony of Paris. Moscow is beautiful, but nowhere near the beauty of Paris. Lisbon is a horrible city.
No paris is not beautiful anymore. So many arabs and africans that you can’t walk on streets without fear getting robbed. Its good to visit one time but not much .. living there is nightmare
I was just in Paris a couple of months ago. It truly is beautiful. I t really enjoyed sitting outside at the cafés but some areas need to keep in mind that by blocking the entire sidewalk forces people to walk in the road which is quite dangerous. I didn't come across any garbage in the street but the bicyclists and mopeds are just downright dangerous. They really don't listen to any of the road laws so pedestrians and auto drivers are constantly in danger. They cut cars off by flying right in from of them with no fear of getting hit. It truly is anarchy on the roads. It did give me insight into what the New York city council tried to do here with bike lanes which was an epic failure. People drive into the city from distances to far to bike from.
I live in the city which area is 102 square kilometeters , where Paris is 105 square kilometers; in my city lives 70 000 people where in Paris over 2 milion , i can imagine how crowded , noisy it can be
Really a good documentary - and it is becoming obvious that many problems are the same for cities all over Europe - the mismanagement of traffic and road policies by the "new elites", with their green washing and bad taste. The same litter architecture of city furniture you can find in Berlin and other places. To make the city somehow inhospitable while caring only for scooters and "electro"-mobility, but even pedestrians are shunned aside, residents anyway while whoeing the tourists. Attracting in the end a trash audience for a trash culture.
Been to Paris three times (not by choice - once on business/ ex insisted had never been, and again in a group). Nice architecture , like many other cities have also, but just do not like the city and it's vibe. There has been many european cities I have been to, and have returned to on many occasions - paris not being one of them after the 3rd visit.
Love Paris! Its beautiful but the food is not that great ! Its a bit dirty but not as bad as Rome snd its become quite pricey oh yes the Metro is GREAT
Es bastante claro que solo se estan aprovechando de beneficiarse del gobiernos y no de crear un verdadero impacto para la ciudad. MADRID is a very good example. Is a very familiar city, it has very clean streets and business respect the sidewalk. Paris needs politician that cares for this beautiful city bcs they it seems that they are there just for the money. BYFAR
Was there a few months back and Paris was beautiful. The architecture, history, food. There are evident problems but the idea is to concentrate on what one wants to get out of the experience.
The visual illustration (by the city council?) at 31:35 is rather troubling. Everyone knows this area is very multicultural and consists mostly of immigrants, yet the rendering here only shows wealthier white people occupying the space. What are the planners possibly implying? This kind of design proposal borders on criminality (a crime against humanity).
I’m in Paris right now and I really don’t get the hype about trash. It’s been pretty clean from what I’ve seen. Then again, I’ve been to Naples and I plan on going to Cairo in February.
So inefficient, the rules needs to be changed. How can let people go on medical leave without doctor visits. Too much freedom and you have a bunch of lazy bums, therefore nothing is done. Human still needs rules.
Under several Socialist mayors, Paris has deteriorated, as it always has and always will with the Socialists, but then there will be others who will know how to straighten up the city and clean it up. Paris will always be Paris, the most beautiful.
