The twice are beautiful but incomparables, it's not the same charm. Paris is authentic, an old city with some awesome places. NYC is more big with skyscrapers but it's not an old city.
Je suis née et je vis à Paris. J'ai la chance d'être allée à New York. On ne peux pas comparer les deux villes qui ont toutes les deux du charme, mais de manière différente. NY est gigantesque, Paris ville lumière, ville qui a une tellement grande histoire. Moi, je suis amoureuse des deux, même si j'ai un grand faible pour ma ville.

I live in toronto as well and I couldn;t disagree more. paris and new york have so much more of an identity, something that is completely lacking here. the architecture isnt anywhere near as remarkable as in either cities. granted we do have a pretty great film festival. transit in both paris and new york is efficient and takes you everywhere for cheaper than this sad subway system we have here as well. if anything toronto is the blandest city i've ever been to, but hey it's still better than San José
Quand je vois cette vidéo ! Je me dis que vraiment que j'ai énormément de chance d'habiter en France !! Franchement y a pas photo, Paris est une ville qui est mais MAGNIFIQUE !! Surtout le passage du métro ou on voit New-York comme une vieille cité industriel sans âme, alors que du coté de Paris c'est vraiment splendide, surtout quand on sort du tunnel et qu'on passe juste devant les super bâtiments, c'est le jour et la nuit quoi !

Yeah the NYC subway has an advanced service (express/local trains..) But the problem is that there're a lot of work & fastrack services ( repair infrastructures, and electronic systems) and that causes some express trains runing via local ...
BADriver142A The subways in Paris are more modern though, especially Line 1. New York does stay open 24/7 which is good. And thing about Paris is that there are two Metros as well. RER is for outer city and Metro is for inner city.
Agreed. But about outer city trains, in New York, they are too and trere're 3 Metros: LIRR (Long Island RaiRoad) Metro-North (Uptown to Bronxville) and the PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) to Newark or Hoboken in New Jersey. And finally the subway in the city wich includes 24 lines

Dave Appadoo Actually there is an area in Paris called La defense with many skyscrapers. And no NY is not unique as nowadays skyscrapers are very common place. And that Las vegas Eiffel tower is a fuckign joke.
baby Guilhem my mom and dad went to paris last year , they said the people are soooo racist especially to the Arabs and Muslims . when my dad or mom ask the people about directions and places they don't answer them and they said you must ask in french not english , and they said it with arrogant . I was in LA and NYC last summer , the people there are sooo nice and friendly , everywhere people are curious about where are you from , they welcomed me in there city , maybe the worker in the subway in NYC and buses in LA are a little bit rude , but other than that USA is nicer than France with tourists

New York located at the BEST country in the world which is USA. Parisen just think Paris is good for those fancy architectures and so called history. However, France just ranked #5 in the world. The power of the country explain everything! There is NO hot water provided in 90 percent of the restaurant. Most of the coffee store are mean to provide two pieces of napkin. Also, public toliet are so little and dirty in Paris! All these things prove looks fancy can not hide the reality that Paris is poor city to maintain a decent lifestyle. Parisen can not eat your history and culture as food. Come to New York, you will know what is hardworking and rich city! So many many European immigrates to USA and have better career and better life.
City stats are bizarre. If you google Earth Paris it looks absolutely massive with seemingly endless urbanization for as far as the eye can see yet the city is small geographically. To me Paris looks bigger than London yet London is far far larger but I guess these are just political lines in the sand. NY is most impressive for its high rises but I think Hong Kong decimates NYC now in that battle. Soon China will have a mega city combining HK Shenzen and that other to form a monstrocity.
