The Canyons resort was expanding, rapidly, with many new lifts being added. Though, one problem, was that with all this new terrain, the only way back to the rest of the resort, and therefore the base area, was to ride Tombstone Express. Tombstone received an upgrade in 2006 to boost capacity in the area, but it wasn't enough, there needed to be an egress lift, directly to the base area even, to get more capacity from that area. This is exactly what Over and Out did. In 2019, this lift was constructed, going from the base of Tombstone Express to a point somewhere above Sunrise. This lift mitigated crowding quite a bit, and works very well in its location.
Over and Out is a Skytrac quad chair. It is the first Skytrac lift to be installed at Park City, and uses all Skytrac parts. Skytrac was brought together by some former CTEC engineers, so many of the parts look identical to that of CTEC's. It would be funny if this was the reason they contracted Skytrac to build Over and Out, because Park City and The Canyons both have a history of CTEC technology on the mountain. Over and Out is one of several lifts at Park City to go downhill. Because the land under this lift is privately owned, there is no skiing allowed under it. This lift stayed fairly uncrowded, likely because people wanted to avoid long lines that were currently plaguing Red Pine and Orange Bubble, which are the only out of base lifts at The Canyons side of the resort. Overall, this is a great lift, and with a cool paint job on the top Monarch drive terminal.
