Silverlode was the first CTEC six pack since its merger with Garaventa in 1993, built in 1996 and one of 4 sister 6-packs with the same manufacturer at Park City alone. It replaced a Yan Detachable named Prospector installed in 1989 which replaced the Prospector and Lost Prospector double chairs respectively in which the former replaced another ancient double which was one of the first inaugural lifts during Park City’s (Treasure Mountain’s) opening season. This lift features the 6-place Stealth II terminals, Garaventa carriers with AK Double grips that kinda remind me of the Leitner grips on 1990s Leitner detachables. This lift serves popular terrain at the heart of the Park City side and provides quicker access to upper mountain areas like McConkey’s, Motherlode, Pioneer and Jupiter even. When Quicksilver Gondola was installed in 2015 however, this lift has gotten very crowded with 15-20 minute waits common because riders disembarking from the gondola would mostly take this lift over King Con which is further down because of its quicker access point to the upper mountain than King Con does. This lift used to have 85 chairs but got 4 more during the Quicksilver construction.
INTERESTING FACT: Silverlode was gonna get replaced in 2022 by a Doppelmayr D-Line 8 Pack along with Eagle with a 6 but the Park City planning commission cancelled the projects at the last minute halting the start of the construction process while the parts were arriving at Park City. Vail Resorts ended up appealing the decision, but nevertheless sent both the parts intended for those new lifts to Whistler Blackcomb instead as the Silverlode 8-Pack parts were installed as Fitzsimmoms 8 and the parts for Eagle are awaiting on being installed as Jersey Cream this coming summer. I don’t know how much life Silverlode has left in it but once Vail Resorts can sort everything out with the planning commission to restart on replacing that and/or Eagle as either originally intended or something else.
Capacity: 3,200 per hour
Ride Time: 5.9 minutes (with no stops/slow downs)
Vertical Rise: 1,322 ft

Towers: 17
Carriers: 89
Design Speed: 1,000 fpm

On a side note I could be wrong but this lift has a slightly wider line gauge than the other G-CTEC sixes at PC when you look at the towers going up and even the terminals are a bit wider from my observations the last 14 years here.

I think the extra chairs came from McConkey's.
