Ronald Reagan Park in Gdańsk was constructed between 2003 and 2006 out of formerly barren lands.
The Park honours former US President, Ronald Reagan, who was considered instrumental in the fall of Communism in Poland, along with Pope John Paul II. The Pope John Paul II and Ronald Reagan Monument inside the park was unveiled in 2012. The statue shows the two men walking side by side in conversation.
Reagan Park is separated from the beach by a bicycle road and a protective belt of dunes.
There are two ponds and many recreational areas in the park, not to mention bicycle paths and a skate park. The entire area of the park is completely closed to motor vehicle traffic. In the park, the permanent exhibition "The Great residents of Gdańsk" presents sculptures that were created during the 27th Kashubian Granite Sculpture Workshop which took place in September 2008 in the Kashubian Ethnographic Park in Wdzydze Kiszewskie.
