Park METAL DETECTING! Today we head out in the rain with the Garrett Ace Apex and Minelab Equinox metal detectors paired with the 6 inch equinox coil and the 5 inch NEL coil for the Garrett Ace Apex metal detector. Hope you guys and gals are well! #metaldetecting

We head to the basketball courts to see what we can find with some paystreak superfreak inspried LIVE DIG action! Just some general metal detecting side by side with our sniper coils! #metaldetecting

I enjoy trying different metal detectors to keep things fresh and test how each works while learning their strengths and weaknesses along the way.

I have heard the Nel Sharp 5" coil for the Ace Apex has problems finding large silver coins or large high conductive targets only when using MF mode, so much so my local dealer in the UK has dropped the price by 30% for them. I will be buying a Garrett Ripper coil at some point though, coils that size can be so useful as you have just demonstrated. My Apex survived a continuous heavy downpour of rain for 3 hours while down the beach on my first morning out detecting. Love my Ace Apex but I wish I could have afforded a Nox at the time, those target ID's are so stable. Good fun hunt you had there. Shame about the corruption at the end. Tell us how the diamond testing on that earring pans out.

I was interested in getting the ripper or the NEL and ended up with the NEL, I almost regret the decision on the 5" just purely because of the size it's pretty dang tiny. I agree with you about the nox VDI just very hard to beat. I will do some testing on it, this one is probably not real but I went to clearwater beach for the first time a couple of days ago and ended up with a real nice earring I think might have some real stones. Dude I watch all ur vids and I'm just gettn started with the Equinox 440 and it's a great detector however I don't have any ocean beaches but lake I learn alot from u and was thinking about getting the Makto Simplex what u think for my next in that price range?

I think Simplex is awesome for another detector, if you have fresh water lakes you can take it under and do some real water hunting with it too! Vanquish, equinox & simplex all great machines in their own way 💪

When close to the concrete walkways, you'll come across a lot of sprinkler heads and rebar fragments.

Google up a vdi chart for your garrett machine it will show you the ranges items will come up at. zinc's in the mid 70's and copper pennies will be close to dime readings lower 80's.

I enjoyed the video. The ‘Nox and the Apex worked well for you. I use the Ripper coil. With the Apex. It works like a charm in trashy areas, and goes reasonably deep for a small coil, super lightweight too. It was well worth the cost I paid for it. I’m glad the Nel coupling is workIng well on your Apex. Keep Digging, A.

I sometimes wish I would have waited and gotten the ripper for the apex instead of the nel but it is what it is! I appreciate it as always, plan to get out to a decent sized beach early tomorrow morning hoping to at least snap a zinc penny or two 😎 Thanks for dropping in!

I find high 40"s on my garrett are the gold that I have found 47 has been my sweet number it is almost always gold. I have an AT Gold. I love my Nel coil I got a 5x8 double d..

A good test would be going around once with one machine digging all targets. Then following same path with different machine to see if you missed anything, that will give you confidence in your machine if you can walk it with no hits. then pick another grid and switch out the machines to go opposite what you did the first time. first time garrett then nox other grid do nox then garrett. also switch coils to see depth variations.

That would be a nice little test! Sometimes I get off track and end up just pulling targets but I was just kind of using both of them seeing how they acted. Definitely wanna do some more testing in the future with those two, wonder what the depth difference is on the sniper coils ALSO... DESTINY is awesome she was at work and scored an amazing surface find... little tiny petite 10k gold chain with a little heart pendant on it!! So I really want to test that chain, I swang it over the big nox coil and SILENT but when I swapped to the little coil it was a bit different result 👍

Treasure Outdoors.. You are making it so I might get an Apex..add a new detector in my line up this would make it a good detector for sure with the nel coil small one.. These two detectors with the small coils seem to do the trick.. Nice finds and a handful of clad.. Awesome

You know there is a lot of controversy about the apex but I am glad to have it in my collection 👍 The little 5" NEL was my first nel coil and I like it alot, I also like their other sizes though which is dangerous as I am a little bit of a collector 😁
