I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inheritance portfolio of about $2.5m. Dividends are what got me into investing in the stock market. The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. Have over $600K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further.

Inflation has a greater impact on people's cost of living than a crashing stock or housing market, resulting in an immediate and tangible effect. This explains the current high level of negative market sentiment, and our need for assistance in surviving this challenging economy. The financial markets have underperformed due to fears of inflation, causing stock and bond prices to plummet. Despite sounding basic, consulting a financial advisor has enabled me to outperform the market and achieve a profit of $850,000 since June 2022, making it the ideal approach to enter the financial markets today.

Great video! Ive usually kept my cash in hysa, Amex paying 4.3% currently. I prefer the flexibility and liquidity to CDs or buying treasuries. But what is your opinion on using an ETF like TFLO which tracks treasury floating rate bonds? It seems that even with the expense ratio (0.15) i would get a significantly higher yield monthly than an hysa without losing capital, at least according to what i see in the price history, and it would be easier than buying treasuries directly.

Why are you recommending treasuries or bonds, exactly?
@BusinessWithBrian
@BusinessWithBrian 8 месяцев назад
I'm not necessarily recommending them for everyone in every situation. If a person is parking cash for the short term (like a renovation) it's a safe bet. If you need that money for the renovation, and if the market drops 20% (if invested in the market) then you can't do the renovation. Merely helping give options for those that need them. Hi Brian, you do not mention Robinhood. Over the last year, I have parked all of my idle cash in Robinhood (away from Wells Fargo). This year the rate has been at 4.9% and in October went to 5%. It requires a gold membership for $5 per month. Over the last year, it appears to be a good move for those with more than $1500 of savings. Maybe you touched on this in another video but curious of why you don't mention Robinhood (maybe falls under "online banks"). 🙂
