SO good! Thanks for doing this, I'm gonna miss it but the next build will be insane! Here's some mods I missed: Llumar Ceramic Tint done by Windowtintz, 5mm spacers all around. Wheel size - 17x9 et30 Tire Size 235/40 tires up front 255/40 in the rear 👍🏼
Another E92 rocking the solo-weeks coils! 👍🏻 These are the best bang for the buck coils you can get, get upgraded turbos and some inlets and outlets with a custom tune, trust me you will never wanna turn back haha
Planning on doing this to my stock 335i. Already did the boring part, which is full maintenance and replacing gaskets and pipes, put a full exhaust line, got the catless down pipes ready. Thank you for sharing this, guys.
Big thanks to Parker for sharing his build! We're doing our best to make content during these times, so I hope this holds everybody over until we can get a chance to go out and make more feature films. Thanks so much for coming back to the channel to watch more content. Much love!! -SB!!
Finally someone who admits the platform is not reliable, yes it’s a great platform but just because your n54 made it to 200k miles with no issue doesn’t mean it’s reliable
Most of the non M cars I see with high miles are babied and stock. Theyre dirt cheap but you get what you pay for. My friend literally got a 2010 E90 6MT for 8K, with 70,000 miles and is currently dealing with leaky injectors, VANOS solenoids, water pump and valve cover gasket. He just ordered the Burger stage 2 kit
in the 4 years and 110k miles i’ve drive the only things to fail outside of normal wear and tear or self inflicted have been my water pump and my hpfp. my car is fbo with upgraded turbos and nearing 200k miles.
I have this car, it handles amazing, it’s only for those who love working on cars because you’ll spend allot of time under the hood but they are fun cars to drive.
I'm subscribed to both of your channels. So I was confused as to who I was was watching. I was like, wtf wtf, huh! Did not know you were friends. Cool! Make more collabo's! N54!
I have a 700s whp n54 ces bottom mount single turbo and I have zero issues people just don’t know how to take care of these cars got a remember these were 60k when they first came out they need their maintenance it’s a 12-year-old boosted car.... it’s a great platform if you’re going to spend the money to do the maintenance first. And if you think n55 doesn’t have problems OK lol.. Great video by the way maintenance FTW! And lol I make way more Torque with my single turbo than I did on my pure stage 2 high flows lol
To tune N54 is cheap... To buy all full bolt on parts is like 2500 usd order. But before doing that you have to go over all the maintenance issues with it... new valve cover 400, oilfilter housing gasket repair another 400 at a shop. Make sure you have newest index injectors... If not 1200 usd, coilpacks 124 usd, and then we have fuel pumps 400 and 500 usd, waterpump 400 usd and so on.... Brakes, gearbox , diff service. Older car probably needs neww suspension stuff like wheel bearings and shocks. I have a Z4 35i... Stock with stage 1 tune... and i have put like 4000 eur into maintenace and repairs... Biggest on being KW V3 Coilover kit because my front adaptive shocks started leaking, DCT leak, oilfilter housing leak. Next im going to change my valvecover. Im always thinking about modifying my car further, starting with Intercooler and chargepipe... and then downpipes and inlets. Wanting to do it. But i always have some maintenance thing coming up or start needing to get done. So i havent gotten to mods because of it... Someday i will.
My question is: after you replace some of the components that "break around the engine," are the new parts generally better than the originals? Learning
First INSTANT respect to you Parker, for demanding a 6 speed manual. SCREW the steptronic automatics. Second, be glad you didn't get the all wheel drive, as they have so many problems, a ton fewer aftermarket parts and are much heavier and thus slower. I like your E92, as it looks very modern with the upgrades. A few things I differ in taste on are the double bar kidney grills, I've never liked them, but I also got rid of the chrome ones. I also prefer the hex halo's for the headlights, instead of just the flat bottoms. I got rid of the silver interior trim, and went back to the woodgrain when I bought the car, as wood grain looks so much more classy than solid colors or carbon fiber in my opinion. I also have the gray interior, and have dyed much of it black, as the two tone looks a million times better than everything being gray. Parker, I have sent you a message on Instagram, and have added pics of my 335i on my feed.
Hi, nice car by the way. I have a 2011 335IS and I just blew my charge pipe few days ago. I was thinking about installing a BOV along with a new charge pipe but my concern is will the BOV be compatible with an overboost function on 335IS ? I waned get some advice from you to see if you knew anything about the setup I'm about to do to my car. Thanks!
You still don’t wanna buy a 335 for less than 10k in the states most of them sold for less were driven like they were stolen and are gonna end up costing triple in maintenance
@@bones9029 I did mean they were stolen I said driven like they were stolen as in very abused and driven hard wether they look good or not, and 100k miles means you got some work to do very soon regardless of how well it was kept. If yours is completely stock you have a much better chance of having something semi reliable but if you bought a modded one that cheap good luck
Hey guys I have a 2010 335i n54 m sport manual and just want to drop my two cents for anyone looking to buy one. I’m FBO and it’s a really fun and amazing car, when it’s not giving you issues... if you buy one, get ready to spend a lot on replacing things that brake
Tell me about that. Everyone always says "500 hp under $1500" but with the cost of maintenance which will have to be done, aint no avoiding that, you're easily within 3/4k range after mods and maintenance. And what sucks is the parts you replace are going to fail AGAIN. I love my 335, but theres so many better platforms lol. Comparing my e92 m3 to my e90 335i, the m3 is way slower, but more engaging to drive and WAY more reliable.
@@Karim2clean My 10 335iA FBO inlet/outlet MHDS2+93 will do 100 in 9.85 on 93 for now as it still needs all the kinks ironed out. Is my 335i like yours really that much faster over a V8 E9x M3?
Extremely wrong. BMW has had oil level sensors since e39 and e46. N52 engines were first mass produced turbo engines. Early 330 and 335 2 door 3 series after o6 and 535 bmws after 2004
efrain ramirez depends on your goals. Auto shifts faster, manual can hold more power. I have both an auto and manual 335i. I love how the auto can hold boost through gears, but I enjoy banging gears in the manual.
@@nswiss19751 its prolly legit im going through it now and these cars literally have everything go bad on them the radio/key fob antenna is $400 water pump $400 etc. You can see it adds up quick
I still don’t know if I should get a e92 m3 next or a n54, for the amount he payed he could almost buy an m3, I’ve seen some clean examples with 70k miles for 18k
BMW Royal you don’t need much money for fbo. About $1500, less if you don’t get expensive brands and not including exhaust. Cosmetics wise it is expensive but you don’t need full carbon fiber on everything, that’ll make you broke
Yea that’s cool and all he 21 and owns a 335i, but my 335i when I was 16, I’m 17 now and the car is fun as hell with VRSF intercooler, VRSF chargepipe, and jb4 tune.
DCI and open CAI vent makes no sense. Biggest N54 scam on the net. What people do not understand is that it costs ~$10K to convert a 335i t a 335is build. Correcting deferred maintenance is the first order with these cars before any tuning.
You guys don’t know how lucky you are. First we don’t even have the 335i coupe here. Only sedans... and no way in hell you can find a manual here. They simply don’t exist. So if you want a 335i you can only get them in the 4 door and automatic configuration. Ahh btw, there’s no such thing “if you are 18-23yo and on a budget” here. The earliest 335i go for 50k$ here. And maintenance/parts are scarce and ridiculously expensive. You what you can get here for 9k$??? Google for 2009 chevrolet celta. Yep. That’s worth the same as that beautiful 335i coupe. Wanna know what I drive? I have an e36 328i manual 4 door. Wanna know how much they cost? If you can even find a manual, the asking price is between 30-40k$.
