Parker Variant Open Comb Adjustable Razor 

Another helpful review. Makes me like my Rockwell 6S even more 😉 I have bowl lathered using only 1/8th of a teaspoon of shaving soap. There was more than enough lather for 3 passes. Have a relaxing weekend.

Not the biggest open comb fan either, but love Parker, quality products and love their family run too. Plum scent sounds nice!!

Thanks for the review Kevy, the Parker Variant has been quite a popular adjustable, I had the Progress and it was great. I don't normally do well with open combs either. I agree some soaps only need a small portion to create a big lather.🤟😎🤟

I got the closed comb version early in my wet shave journey to test how aggressive I like a razor. I quickly discovered that I prefer a mild razor. I still use it, but only on the mildest setting. My daily driver remains my Merkur 38c.

This Parker open comb adjustable, for me, a bit on the clunky side. The close comb adjustable by Parker not quite that clunky. I think, the centrepiece of your shave was the shaving soap. Great depiction by the way on the lid of the tub. A Mediterranean cottage in the Med's sunlight with the plumb branches higgledy-piggledy loaded with plumbs...aahh. What a poetic contrast Kevy to this isle's long dark December nights under endless days of skies of lead. Never mind, each place with its own beauties, I really do believe that. I hope the lead-up to Christmas passes quickly for you at RM. Cheerio :)

Evening Kevy really good shave there really nice products on show also.I have started using Clarins Men Hydratant moisture balm as a post shave it’s really good got it last Christmas as a gift you may already have it but it’s worth trying cheers have a good week take care.

You must recognize that the sensation when using a safety razor open comb is something very different, since the feedback is noticeable at first glance, the shaving technique I do not think influences the aggressiveness, I think it is more about personal taste, there are opinions found in all directions in my humble opinion I prefer a good aggressive and forceful warhorse (Mühle R41) is my daily driver however if you are looking for balance Rockwell 6s is the option . Saludos brother!!!

Open comb razors are the best especially double open comb. I heard it's better than the straight bar version.

They look nice, but people wrote on our shaving forum that there are repeated problems with the coating on the cap, that something discolors and some stains appear. They yours look good. This blood on your neck, it seems to me that when you have a hard skin beard, you have an instinct or habit to get rid of it effectively. That's why you press too hard in the 1st pass.. And yet stronger the pressure force does not matter, since in the next two passes you will collect the remains. Try to apply light pressure Sir. 🤗 I bow low Wojtek (Voytek)

Would you choose Parker Variant or Yaqi Final Cut? Which of these razors shaves better? I bought Parrker 94R a few days ago, I am satisfied, although I have trouble shaving the sides of my neck. When I try to shave them thoroughly, irritation occurs, although less than when shaving with Gillette C King.

Parker Variant not one of my favorite razors. In the drawer for the last five years. Just not a comfortable shave for me.
