@@hollowpointbullet1677 Apparently YOU have not seen any of his other videos because he is most definitely not a hothead. Hotheads do not last long in Johnny's line of work but there is a reason Johnny has been doing this work for years. He knows how to deal with people while at the same time getting his job done.
Handled yourself like a pro once again, Johnny, even though that bloke was pretty mad. Don't blame you for getting your hackles up when he came at you like that, you're only doing your job and he wants to be a PITA. Keep up the good work, mate, and stay safe.
Except Singapore and maybe a few more countries who have rejected woke and BLM policies/agendas In most westernised countries the crim/perp gets more protection/freedom/assistance than the victim. Gone are the days where sentencing was a deterrent and a punishment - it's Snake Plissken's "New York" becoming a reality.
Yeah, he said that it was hard to get police to the location in an emergency, but thats not very surprising if they have to deal with people like this gentleman, calling 911, because someone tries to tow his car with a bad tag. Here, that person would be asked to call the "non emergency" line, and possiblt fined for doing a 911 call without a real emergency.
Johnny isn't the only tow truck driver with patience. Jeff and Kristin of Everything Autos in the Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg are of tennessee are pretty patient too. ru-vid.com/show-UCRm_jeu8JjDJ7GrG3tnrQFgvideos
@@breecoasta6040 no, nothing is what you are… not what most people would do in this situation. I know you’re the smartest kid in your middle school class, but stop trolling
And Johnny is the perfect example of the results you get when not letting your ego control you and communicating. You could do a lot of good with our young upcoming men. The world is blessed to have you Johnny.
I have just discovered this channel and I love it. From what I can gather, it's about "yanking cars". I have total respect for towtrucker. Yanking cars is what he does because somebody has to do it. He's a hard working no nonsense professional doing dangerous and physically demanding work in hot and humid Atlanta. Lucky for him, his job will always be secure because there are plenty of irresponsible people who (1) haven't read their lease so they don't know the rules, (2) don't obey rules or laws anyway, (3) don't care for their cars, (4) leave their broken down cars jacked-up in the parking lot, (5) leave their "slap burned-up" car in the parking lot, (6) don't register their cars because they probably don't have insurance either, (7) park where they shouldn't, or (8) have no comprehension about what a warning sticker means. Great job towtrucker! God Bless you!
@@sugarsore I think drugs contribute to really serious crime more than Poverty. I'm not saying Poverty helps any. But I think drugs, especially hard drugs makes everything worse. And then when you combine that with the feeling that in some places it seems criminals can get by with anything while an honest citizen will be arrested or fined at the drop of a hat.
My friend thinks those reality tow trucker shows are quality content, nah, this right here is quality content. My friend has no idea what he's talking about. Keep* it real, towtrucker.
I just found your channel and love it. My ex and I owned a towing service in South Carolina when I was married I know EXACTLY what you go through. Especially being a woman doing that job. I finally divorced him and the towing service. No more County rotation, no more dragging people outta ditches in the middle of the night and no more snatching vehicles outta apt complexes and parking lots and repos were a whole another story. Finally sleeping through the night without interruption. Anyway love the channel looking forward to more.
Nope, no one wants to do the job from Dispatching, the police, the DA, the Public Defender, no one wants to do the job dealing with people and criminals
Yeah, i would have asked him to prove it is valid, and if he did not, just kept doing the tow. Honestly, the behaviour he showed should NEVER be honored or "work"
I'm almost 70 years old, female, and have no idea why I am so entertained with Johnny towing vehicles! Question: how many sunglasses do you own? Ray-Ban might pay you to use theirs
I'm nearly the same age and sex as you. I noticed the sunglasses too. There was one pair he wore that were, well, kinda feminine. Oversized, kinda roundish, dark at top and lighter at the bottom. Definitely not his style, which is quite masculine.
Two days ago we had a man steal a vehicle in my city that just happened to have an 8 year old girl inside. The mom was inside of the store paying for the gas and the car was at the pumps. The girl is safe, car is back, and crazy guy is behind bars with a lot of charges. All ended in about an hour. I can’t even imagine what the ending would have been if they couldn’t have gotten through to 911!!!! 😳
The scariest part is 911 not answering. I'm old enough to fully realize that is how it is in certain places, but I am nevertheless thankful for 911 always answering where I've lived at be it for fire, medical, or police and getting an immediate response. Even calling a non-emergency law enforcement number has always had someone answer immediately. Again, I've known 911 has that issue in many places, but I've never actually heard it before in all of these years. And as always, great video, great job!
Doesn’t help that in big cities people call 911 for less than urgent issues. See all the time with stupid fender bender and instead of exchanging info one person insist on calling police.
@@MT-530 Yep, you're not wrong! I've only been in two accidents in my entire life, and one was just as you said: bumper was dented, we exchanged info, and that was that. The other was a multiple car pileup so things were different tin that case (my car was totaled), and no issues with 911. But yes, you are dead on, and I'll continue to be thankful I live, and have lived, in areas where 911 has always answered before even one ring goes through.
I’m proud of you Johnny! You stepped back to drop the tension. My son has his tag but hasn’t put it on yet. I told him to watch where he parks because he will get towed. Put your darn tag on your plate! Be safe my favorite TowTrucker Johnny!
@@yakncast7530 he is 26 yrs old. He will learn the hard way. His father & I have told him to do it. We can’t really grab him by the scruff of his neck or grab an ear & force him to do it.
I am really loving the camerawork and composition. I can see you getting better, learning your tools more. "Good luck calling 911 in DeKalb County" Watching you talk this through and turn it into teaching moments is why I love and respect you. You are not alone.
Property Management should include the tow laws and their towing reasons/info with every rental agreement. Also, the tow companies/dispatch should have access to the tag registry to just view if a tag is up to date/valid, this way is someone is claiming it is valid you can call dispatch and have them do a quick check.
When you have a certain party calling to defund the police and no bail this is what you get. I guess the social worker replacement idea didn't pan out either.
but they weren't defunded so what's their excuse for not answering the phone ? COVID worker shortages ? government holidays ? donut run ? might be time to replace those human operaters with AI like Alexa, Siri, or Hy google
Another professional interaction with a person who wasn’t handling their business. If you’re going to order that tag/sticker online then make sure you do it in time for the processing and mail delivery. Also, could have been avoided by the driver responding to the property manager’s sticker. This is on the driver, but blames everyone but himself.
There it is. If he has a valid tag but it is in "the mail" that might be the time to contact the office to let them know. Show them proof of registration. Don't wait for the tow guy to show up then confront him like a bligerent a-hole.
I found this channel by chance and I've been binge watching it for the entire weekend. What a remarkable production putting these videos out. Awesome quality every aspect including the music. Great job
One of the comments stated this needs to be a 2 man job. I couldn’t agree more! This heat wave makes for short tempers for everyone. Once again you did the right thing and got out of the heat to wait. Stay hydrated sir, you’re doing a fine job!!
You handled yourself like a saint you’re a true gentleman and a scholar sir your credit to our profession is a tow truck driver I appreciate you be safe out there sir tough times
You can be so much calmer than I am. I notice you will remove yourself from situations where it continues to escalate. You have a great ability to recognize situations are turning bad, and calming it down. Great job!
It sounds like DeKalb County needs to hire more 911 dispatchers! I bet they never called you back either, which could be a MAJOR problem! You handled that well, Johnny. Good job!
Fortunately, you were able to calm down the car owner. You have pointed out with what could escalate to something much worse the police are not always accessible. This is why a citizens ability to defend themselves and others around them, is so important.
Hey, Sweet Pea, I enjoy your content. (Went through your catalog the past six months.) Thanks for the time which you spend doing so. Your content rings true.
Man, that guy was really angry at first since he didn't fully understand what you were doing. And I know what you mean about Atlanta crime since I live here. Scary. Stay safe, Johnny.
Johnny always like seeing ur videos. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Keep towing. Keep recovering. Keep yanking. Keep Making. God bless.
You have grown and developed your skills in responding to aggressive people. I remember past videos where your vocal responses were not as good as this one. Staying calm and slowing things down will help other people do the same. Good job Johnny.
Stay safe man, too many "difficult" people out there...I get that the police may be busy; how unfortunate...however....two things1) property owners should do the utmost due dillegenge in dealing with client cars before calling the towing company (to avoid assaults on drivers and violence on the property) 2) property owners should have a representative present during the tow; again to mitigate problems. Not sure of the intricacies of the towing contracts with property owner; however property owner has an obligation to manage the property for a number of reasons. Assaults on all persons( including tow personnel) have negative ramifications on their liability insurance as well as gaining a bad reputation for safety and order on the property. Lastly, with that, just because a towing company will carry liability/medical insurance (hopefully) for their drivers, the property owner should shoulder part of the risk as well - since if the property is negligent in their due diligence, they contribute to the peril to the tow operator (why should the tow company insurance rates go up because of negligent properties??) Property owners should not complain either - its called the price of doing business😒 ... I'm just sayin...
While I agree with the majority of your comment I have to disagree with your concept of due diligence. As a 66 year old who has never owned a home virtually every complex I've lived at has stated verbally in the leasing process all of the rules and consequences relating to cars and parking before lease is signed, a couple even required the renter to put their initials next to the particular paragraph. Once the renter signs that legally binding contract the diligence shifts from the complex to the renter and it's not up to them to investigate whether or not the car is registered, all they can see is the expired tag, to use a modified Johnnyism.." We rent apartments.. it's what we do"
You don't get things done by walking out screaming and yelling without giving someone a chance to say something-start respectfully and you will get more things accomplished in a shorter period of time with less rising blood pressure. Stay safe and keep towing. God forbid someone has a REAL fricking emergency and 911 won't answer.
They always start off talking tough and then when they see that talk doesn't intimidate you into dropping then they always try talking nice to get you to drop. 27 years of experience here. Stay safe brother. *CHAIN GANG FOR LIFE*
I can’t believe it’s gotten to the point where 911 just won’t pick up the phone. I’ve never called 911 for myself but the idea of them not answering is terrifying
And if they answer, then who's to say help will get to you? And if it does, then what? Will they help you, or just stand around fiddling with their phones for an hour or two? You need to be able to help yourself.
@@michaelfreitag7657 Of course it is, my point is that we don't know what the profit margin is at his specific company and for anyone to suggest that company cut their profits in half is irresponsible without knowing the fiscal state of the company. Your suggestion as meaningful as it is doesn't consider the consequences of the company going out of business leaving Johnny and his fellow workmates unemployed. Too often in America people don't consider the long range implications, a perfect example is when the Republican president Nixon opened trade with China with the promise of a new market opening for American goods to be sold and now the majority of durable goods say "made in China" instead of America, we played the short game while they played the long game and are losing the middle class while China's middle class is growing daily.
@@michaelfreitag7657 That is true, that's the whole purpose of having insurance though, you pay to have a company assume risk, how much risk is the company willing to pay for can be the deciding factor in whether a company goes out of business or not .
That’s right Johnny…bloody hell …I also would get angry with a confrontational attitude like that… You’re a smart man Johnny.. Keep safe…there’s all kinds of Loony Tunes out in the world.
Wont deny theres a lot of crime clogging up the phone lines, but theres still far too many people that think the police need to come resolve their minor civil quarrels.
English not his first language and I am not sure he had the proof. Had to call someone to bring the proof. If you can't read English well, a website for auto insurance in GA is hard to navigate. Hard enough for some native speakers. Good on Johnny to de-escalate. When the man realizes that Johnny will wait for a short time for someone to bring proof and not leave with the car, he had time to calm down and think. Proof provided. Office updated. Car goes back down. Had he gone to the office with the E-mail they would put his car on a do not tow list. And when the sticker arrives, bring it to the office with the letter. They will know it's good and you won't be at risk of towing once the sticker is on. Then everyone can behave like civilized people.
