I really should have put the the part in the video of this guy bringing the steak knife back outside after he went into the apartment. I may have put that clip in on a video. If you haven't subscribed, I may be doing some night towing in the future. May even try to live stream these impounds. Thanks for watching
I have some mad respect for you sir! Way to control things. Your job isn’t easy. You do a good job at watching your surroundings too. This is my first time watching one of your videos. God bless you!
When doing good service work. You don't have to watch your surroundings. People who call for help are usually happy to see help arrived. The only time for concerns was loading on the side of a highway. Traffic going by at 70 mph. But wait I would put my life in dangerous situations to HELP someone. Not steel from them.
Any car parked on footpaths or disabled parking spaces when their not disabled get my house keys scratched down the side. Coz my mum is in a wheelchair & is very old & should not have to go on the road coz some ass is parked on the foot path. But if I've already scratched 1 side of the car, then I'll scratch the other. But if that's done, I throw eggs on the car..... some people are very slow learners & I'd rather ruin their car than have my mum get hit by a car coz she couldn't use the footpath!😡😡😡
As a Marine I had to keep my vehicle squared away. I'm retired now from the private sector but it's my responsibility to obey the law. Former military should not get any breaks. On the contrary, we should set an example of what a citizen should behave like. Semper Fi.
As a veteran myself, I find it appalling when a military person uses their service to either garner special favors/services or as an excuse for poor judgement/bad behavior. I know some have mental issues and can be easily provoked or triggered. But not this guy. He was trying to intimidate this tow truck driver. And the driver was courteous, professional, and nonconfrontational. I wish more people in our so-called 'polite society' would take a page out of this guy's book. Kudos for a job well done! You handled yourself gracefully and with dignity to your profession.
Eh, I don’t know. As a vet of 24 years in the AF, I don’t think he was trying to use his veteran status to get out of the tow. Now his aggressive nature was just uncalled for to be sure but I didn’t see him using his status to get special privileges.
My point was that many vets have PTSD or mental blocks and will suffer w/this the rest of their lives. The majority of us don't want that type of stigma attached to us. But it makes vets feel bad when people use being a vet as an excuse to be a jerk. One is not synonymous with the other.
@@keithbassett4988 I find the “one-termers” and reservists to be the most likely to use the veteran card. Heck I spent over 20 and I never mention it now that I’m out unless it comes up in conversation.
Dude, just watched this video! Your sensitivity with that mother and child was great to see, but your skill and diplomacy handling the Veteran was awesome. Totally the right call. Not just because he's a Vet, but you're absolutely right that you never can totally predict if a situation is gonna unfold like you want it to. Respect for you just went up 100-fold!
The level of respect and kindness this guy shows while doing his job. Most people probably hate the tow man, but with each show of kindness and respect you are changing that.
Being a veteran, police officer, judge, or even a lawyer doesn't give you the right to threaten others who are enforcing laws upon you when you are breaking the laws yourself.
@@TraustiGeir oh. Ok. Crime of the century lol. Half the people in the United States are driving around with expired tags rite now and it seems like everything is going just fine😜
The vet knows he was in the wrong on his tag. Probably why he backed the car in trying to hide his expired rear end. And yes, he walked into YOUR space, tow man. He acted like you stepped to him...LOL.
They always want discounts and special treatment- when I'm bidding a lawn and they ask for a military discount I always charge them more. You don't really want them as clients because many are bad debts and late payers....
@@GardenerEarthGuy not all of us veterans are. There are plenty of people out there who never served and are complete dirt bags. Some of which you call friends. So no don't put all of us in the same group
@@will1867 I simply don't like to do business with any military people, from the 70s back it's okay, but everything current I just try to price high so as not to deal with them. It's just not worth the hassle and again, many end up being bad debts.
@@GardenerEarthGuy it's okay there are plenty of civilians that I don't want to do business with. And expect a discount just because so it just boils down to preference.
@@will1867 Exactly- The military isn't what it was and now is the number one enemy of The American People. For now, it's just easy to exclude them from customer rolls, one can only ask God to forgive them and hope they'll turn and become good, honest, people at some point in their lives. The video we watched is a perfect representation of how they actually feel about the regular working people they feel above and rip off. It's pretty sad to think America has become a Roman Style country, but look what happened to Rome.
Mad respect to you man! You always handle yourself with class, give respect and are due respect! Both the mom with the kid and the vet you handled like a real man and a gentleman. This is why I'm subscribed and keep watching. Much love and God bless!
People don't realize that your line of work is one of the most dangerous ones and you handle yourself incredibly well. You give great advice! It was really neat to see how you get the car re-angled for getting it on the bed with just that wedge. And thank you for caring about what happens when kids are around, that really shows you know what you're doing and you do your job well. Also, good on you for putting that blanket down so the expensive car wouldn't scrape, good thinking! :)
Thank you for what you do for handicapped people! Can't say how many times I have seen people park in handicapped spaces and could care less! Wishing I had a tow truck 😂😂😂
I really appreciate how fair and professional you are....not just out to make a buck at any cost. Much respect. Wish there were more like you. Keep up the good work. 👏👍
A channel I watch called "Active Self Protection" has taught me about verbal judo being a tool of self defense. Good to see you have it as part of your kit and use it.
Another great video.. I didn't like it when that Vet acted like that, I respect military people but he just seemed like a bully. He was out of line. Stay safe out there..
Johnny you are an extreme professional on hooking that Camaro. Taking extra precautions not to damage or scratch. At the same time your aware of your surroundings. Your a Master in your profession my Friend. 👍👍
Yeah this is tow truckers page shannon. And people wanna buy merch from him to support him. Going to a print screen place to have it done defeats that purpose 🤷♂️
@@richardlapoint1845 yes- I know that......but 2 start u have 2 order a service number- maybe he csnt afford that- or doesnt WANT 2 spend his down time keeping track of inventory, filling orders, shipping.......... I am merely pointing out- if he doesnt want 2 do all that- and someone STILL wants 1- a screen printer CAN make anything
@Chris Felkin good 4 u.......I dont buy merch from ppl like this BECAUSE- they almost always come in only crew neck and I cant take it- IF I get a crew neck shirt- 1st thing I do is cut the neck out into a V.....That's how I learned a screen printer can duplicate anything
Love the way he handles the young mother and her newborn... young children are perfectly innocent and dont deserve any type of confrontation in thier young lives. Good job brother 🤙
Best towie I have seen ! True pro - access surroundings, constantly re access, treat debtors with respect while keeping yourself and tow truck safe. Top work
Its called "de escalation" Its how intelligent people resolve conflicts or avoid them altogether "The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting"-Sun Tzu
The vet's approach was wrong. I don't care what his training is, he is not on the JOB. Behave like a person and drop the " Macho Posture Intimidation " he tried on you !! As it didn't work... see his other choice of personality disorder that came out !
my dad was in Pearl Harbor when it was attacked, he fought in Korea, WW2, and i never EVER heard him raise his voice to anyone he dealt with. That guy was a jerk to you.
You ever witness anyone trying to steal your Grandpas car? Maybe he was never a jerk because his granddaughter was standing right next to him? You should have seen him with his drinking buddies.
Garett Anderson how do you know what I’ve witnessed? Were you with me all my life? NO! I’ve witnessed more in my lifetime and hopefully more to come than your pea picking brain could ever phantom!
I'm impressed with the care you take with low-slung cars like that Camaro. I recall seeing a video of you offloading a Lamborghini (I think?). Awesome skills, Towtrucker. Greetings from Kent, Ohio. ❤
I am digging the CRX!! I have a thing for small, light-weight fun box cars. I have a 92 Suzuki Swift GT-i that's similar in fun factor to the CRX cars . Nice ride looks good!!
Hey I am so happy I found your channel! It's refreshing to see a fair person doing a crazy job. And you drive the streets I have since 1989! Thank you for the entertainment while we are on lockdown!
Mate, saw a few videos of yours, also a more recent, but I just have to get back to this one - your way of communicating, reacting and being peaceful is above and beyond. You know your job and you got the social skills as well as empathy. There‘s lots of shit going on out there, stay safe.
Hey Bud, really appreicated this video. You are a professional - the care you show towing the vehicles & the respect shown to people. I do think you got scammed by the lady with the baby though, BUT still full marks to you for your compassion!
Idk, but I think Towtrucker would rather get scammed than upset the baby or create a situation not beneficial to the baby. I just think he has that much wisdom and compassion for babies and children.
Having watched only a few of your videos, I have such respect for you. After today's video I respect you even more. At the end of your encounter with the vet you reminded him TWICE that HE moved into your space. Good for you! Idk, of course, but I think bc he was a vet &/or bc he is bigger than most people, he felt you needed to keep stepping back. He didn't say that he did not have to move towards you! IMO, he is a bully, vet or not. I thought it was great that you didn't let him forget he was in the wrong. He was acting very condescendingly towards you. You handled it perfectly; diplomatically, but still standing up to him. Great job!
There's always someone tougher than you out there. There was an article in a Boston newspaper about a police officer who beat a UFC fighter in a street fight.
Michael, never a truer word. I've seen it several times before I retired and each time I was greatly amused. I think it's an American saying. '' It's not the size of the dog in the fight it's...... ''.
I saw a huge, mean high school football player go after his ex gf new bf. That was something! New bf was a stick figure with a mop of brown hair stuck on him. Every time ex grabbed him, new bf squirted out of his grasp and ran around him. When he was behind him he kicked him. He got grabbed 4 times and slipped out each time. The last time the ex got kicked, it was right in his squirrel snacks. A teacher had watched part of the action and stepped forward at that point to break it up. The teacher (he was old school and i admire him and his logic to this day! this happened in 1981) said if he had stopped it sooner, the ex would have just jumped him again. This way it was over. It was too! Nobody messed with the skinny kid again! Lol
Much respect to you bro for that. Thats compassion and great moral integrity. You had a job to do but yet gave the young mother a chance. Most men in your position would not do that! Be blessed and be safe out there.
If he was good it would be a cloth bridal. 3 inch yellow strap. Not chains. Also should use a block & tackle not a j hook to pull to the side. The j hook does damage to the cable. Stupidity
Mad props to u my friend. U handle every situation different. U have a great attitude. And great people skills. Watch ur back and keep on keeping on. Stay safe.
It’s because the car wasn’t hooked already, if it was hooked she would have to pay the drop fee, has nothing to do with the negative stereotypes associated with tow trucks.
A man doing a job that nobody wants to do because it creates confrontation ... hats off to this guy, respectful, considerate and takes care and pride in doing it right.
@11:04 You been nice.... _I was in the military, and I was wrong, but my ego won't let this go. I could have done blah blah blah...._ ME:Of course you could tough guy. Follow basic rules and TT won't see you again. I'm not interested on how you soldiered....
Dude ypur so awesome.... that was absolutely heartfelt and amazing!! Your a great man.... I feel so proud to be a subscriber.... thank ypu for being a good man
He's giving YOU advice on how close he was to you and you shouldn't let him get that close. Says YOU should have kept backing up and kept backing up and kept some distance. I watched it again and you WERE backing up! Exactly how far did he think you should retreat? Clean off the property?? So, if his dog bit you, he'd probably say you shouldn't have put your hand in the dog's mouth! It says a lot about your character that, once he (sort of) calmed down, you let it go and kept de-escalating the situation. A lot of people would have stayed bowed up at him and kept the confrontation going. Great job!
I was wondering the same thing and then when tow trucker told him to back up the guy backed off a bit. You just gotta call their bluff bc that guy has everything to lose he won't do anything. I love how much compassion and respect he has for people's cars. He kept looking around hoping the guy would come out so he didn't have to hook it. That's awsome.
He was basically saying, "If I wanted to, I could take you down in two movements." Like, what was the purpose of him saying that? Why was that necessary?
Towtrucker. I can tell you are a good man trying to do your job in a respectful way. Couldn’t imagine doing your job and being as nice and caring as your are. God bless..
Man I love your videos. So glad you do this kind of work in my hometown. Keep them streets cleaned up. Many thanks from a fellow vendor. Appreciate ya bro.👍🙏😎
Towtrucker! I just found you a few weeks ago and I love your videos! You are so professional, polite, and kind. You put yourself in danger and you carry yourself with respect and dignity. Never ever change my friend! Much love from Illinois! Stay safe and stay amazing.
Awwww you are so sweet when it comes to familys especially those that have kids either around them or hanging on to them you're smooth talking keeps them calm you have a special way you speak to your customers with the soft voice and controlling your anger God bless you
You’re the most respectable Tow Trucker I’ve ever seen. Unlike here in Virginia, you actually give people the opportunity to handle their business unless it’s out of your control.
That guy "might" have "been" Military, but he has a "dishonorable" in his papers, NO Military person would explain how they would ambush and kill a man doing his job, due to THEIR own oversight.
What a great video. Felt sorry for the woman and baby, but understand your situation too!! Very nice of you to be so nice to her!! Thank you for your videos!!
I’m glad you stood up for yourself with that vet. He was out of line and took it to be a “teachable moment.” Wrong time, wrong place. Stay safe regardless. I love to hear you explain your methods for dealing with people too. Like the new mom!
Seriously, I worked with a guy who bragged about being in the military all the time. I finally found out he hooked up generators for power. To listen to him you'd have thought he was a seal.
@@ourtime-downhere6931 I hate veterans. I used to work in customer service as a rep. They would always yell at me for a dumb discount that nobody checked about it. It was a veterans discount.. they have the most fucked up credit.
Is this man single??? I wanna go on a date 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂😂. Been watching for little over a week and I'm obsessed. I can't stop watching them. Binge watching 😂😂!!!
Never had my vehicles towed from any complexes. Only had them towed due to vehicle breakdown. So have full respect for tow truck drivers and the jobs you do. 😊
I like how you're a cool dude just doing a job and not out to just collect everything you back up to. At least you also care about the vehicles as well and don't scratch them up. Good man
