Anthony Borges now owns Nikolas Cruz’s name. So if people want to make books, netflix/hulu streaming specials, newsmagazine exposes, true crime documentaries using his name they can't unless Borges says it’s OK. Even interviews since the headline wlll be his name and can't now the interview can't be published anywhere. Anthony has silenced Nikolas to avoid him and others more ptsd from ever hearing about him again.
i believe this will inspire so many victims to do the same to prevent having to relive the traumatic experience or having the wrong people gain money from their worst day.

He looks like the bully from the TV show All of Us Are Dead, but I still feel so bad for him, no one deserves to get shot unless they are trying to murder you or others
He admires himself plenty. He made a point, several times, to make sure we know he’s been practicing for 30 years, knows how to talk to criminals, how much work it took etc. This should have been mainly about the victim, this boy is suffering and not just physically. What a strong, courageous young man.
My kids are adults now but I always answer their calls regardless of the time. Even when my phone is set to "do not disturb" I have it set up that their calls/texts will still come through. I'd never forgive myself if I missed a crucial call.

Yeah, I don't understand why people are happy right now. I don't understand how they got the sociopath to sign away his own rights to his story. I dont understand why people want this, people will want to investigate, and you basically allowed the courts to create intellectual property on court cases...... This was a Impressive move from both sides, and mutually beneficial. No matter what you think about this murderer, he didn’t think it was as fun and cool afterwards that he thought it would. A true ASPD person would not cover his or hers ears while audio from the killings were played in court. They would truly enjoy listening. So he bought him self a bit less bad concious and the victims get to have one less thing to worrie about.
This happens so often I didn’t even know about his high profile shooting… I try to stay on top of the news very often, It’s just hard to tell them all apart… it’s so quick and out with the news cycle due to frequency, normally.

He sued a bunch of people and gun companies, he says they didn’t want anyone making money from this, except himself the attorney. I thought they said bullets from ar 15’s turn people to mush and melt there insides, he got shot 5 times and he’s still standing. What could have helped was maybe checking his mental health.
If a victim or family of wanted to tell their story must they leave his name out? Would they need permission? Or does this only apply to the evil behind bars?

He is a psycopath. Everyone knows he killed animals but not everyone knows he killed the family’s cat. I believe she was 15, and he drowned her after putting her in her carrier. Read Meadow’s Dad’s book. He was never someone who could be helped with medication or therapy. He’s pure evil.

I really like how this lawyer explained everything and came off. Glad there will be no interview, no books and making that shooter famous. His name should be erased from history as should his very existence.

My friends baby survived 5 shots when he was an infant in a crib during a home invasion, no it wasn't stray bullets it was direct fire. The people were never caught .

@@LocalMcGeenot really the judge was trippin because the one i remember is that the families of the victims were making inappropriate statements towards a lawyer then when the judge stuck his complaint down and pointed out if they said that bout your kids you'd be made then she got mad because he pointed out a fact lmmfao

@Acf647 Preventing school shootings is a whole other topic i'm specifically talking about shooters gaining money from the crime stories or their victims having to relive their worst day because of their shooters interviews or special documentaries/movies/shows.
@Acf647 you're right victims do always have to suffer from ptsd as they talk about in the video but if this agreement could prevent it from making it worse like books and tv shows than i believe it's worth the deal.
I wonder what the lawyers cut is. 33% of future earnings? Because anyone that wants to make a documentary, book or movie about the horrible events that day, have to go through him now. Lots of money on the table. Lawyer says they don’t want this story being retold. We’ll see what happens. But I imagine now that the killer won’t get the money, there will be movies, docs, interviews all kinds of stuff.
Doesn’t Florida have a son of Sam law anyway, so if any movies, documentaries or anything were created the shooter was unable to make any $ off of his crime anyway? Either way, I think it’s a smart, innovative and out of the box thinking to go after the rights to his name, ESPECIALLY since Cruz is penniless & has nothing of monetary value to give to his victims. This is smart & I really really hope Anthony is able to continue on his healing path. Complex PTSD is so life altering & life consuming, I pray that Anthony is able to find a treatment that will help him process this immense trauma & continue on living a happy & fulfilling life.
Yeah, the lawyer snowed the kid and his dad. He presented it like this is an opportunity to prevent any stories being told about Cruz, but he knows that when a $500K check comes knocking at the door down the road, they're going to take it and he has a provision in the agreement that entitles him to a nice cut of it.

@@sarahko1014 Well, if he's such a kind soul, he would have charged $400 an hour to draw up the papers and and that's the end of the deal. As is, you know that's not how the deal was structured. And he was the one who convinced the kid to ask Cruz for ownership of his name, image and likeness. Now pay close attention to this next part: it's okay that he works on a contingency (most personal injury lawyers do), and it's okay that he exploited his client's situation to make more money, but the latter part is not what a great human being does, which is what I was responding to.
I used to live next door to a woman in Tahoe who owned the rights to the Manson name which she inherited through a relative. She knew very little about Charles Manson, she was not personally impacted by the crimes in any way, and she never worked a day in her life. She just collected a monthly check and had zero work ethic and no sense of the value of money. Oh and she was on drugs.
Constantly moving Cruz around is not only beneficial for security reasons but has the added benefit of preventing his accounts from catching up to him. No commissary for Cruz.

I'm glad that Anthony had some resolution to his lawsuit but omg it takes his lawyer a long time to get the story out. I couldn't make it through the whole segment
I couldn't imagine my worst moments in life being out there for the world to watch, replay and discuss with ongoing and countless videos online and movies or articles and books. I think the victims should automatically own their perpetrators name. I hope if this young man does create anything about the shooter, it is healing for him and he does it with the blessing of all the survivors who were also shot. May the victims rest in peace 💖
