In the second episode of our parkour challenge series Ollie takes on a route here in Manchester with a 1:30 time limit. Thanks to Mark, Nick, Mike and Jamie for providing additional camera operation.
I think he was pretty laid back when running between obstacles. IMHO this is what many practitioners neglect, the actual running. I want to be able to do parkour as fast and efficient as in the parkour literally videos one day.
You raise a good point. It's easy to overlook the importance of maintaining pace between obstacles. It's important to note though that the Parkour Literally videos are edited together from a number of different takes. It's not one continuous run. I'll be taking part in a challenge myself in a few weeks so I'll be doing my best to keep the pace up as best I can between obstacles.
+onreact A good point indeed, I mentioned my fitness as a point to improve at the end, I'd been training most of the day and was definitely slower that I would like to be.
Yeah, no offense meant. Also I know that parkour literally was edited but when you look at older videos they are in general focusing more on speed. In this case of course it was more important to overcome the obstacles flawlessly without stumbling.
